Peeta POV- (May 1)

"Uncle Peeta!" I hear someone squeal. I turn around and see Carter running at me from across the store.

I laugh and she jumps into my arms. Bristol waves embarrassedly from across the store and walks over.

"Hey, sweetheart. What are you doing?" I ask her.

"Nothing. Me and my Momma are buying food." She tells me.

Bristol makes it over to us, "Hey." She laughs.

I smile, "Hey."

"Uncle Peeta, can I go with you. I want to see Willow." She asks.

"I don't mind. You better ask your mom though." I say.

She turns and face Bristol, "Momma, can I please go with him?"

Bristol laughs, "I guess but you have to come home at 7 so you can be ready for school, tomorrow."

"Yay! Okay!" Carter squeals.

I chuckle, "How is Carson?" I ask.

"She's good. Yeah, great actually."

"Good. We need to have you guys over soon." I say to her.

"Yep. Blake would like some time with another guy." She laughs.

I smile, "I understand." I wink.

Bristol laughs, "How's Katniss and Willow?"

"They're great." I say.

"That's good. Well, I will leave you with this little monster and I guess I'll be buy around 7ish to pick her up."

"Okay, she will be fine."

"I know." Bristol says.

I smile and Carter takes my hand, "I'll see you later, mom."

"Bye, sweetie." Bristol says kissing her head and going on her way.

I laugh a little and Carter and I finish shopping together while she tells me all about school.

She tells me about all Finn's mischievous doings and even some of her own and about how she's learned to write her name and about her teacher too.

"You can sit in Willow's car seat when we go home." I say to her, as she helps me put groceries into the trunk.

"Okay." She says.

"You're getting strong, Carter."

"I know. I have big muscles! See!" She tells me and holds up her lanky arms.

I laugh a little, "You do. That's good though. You and Willow are gonna have to keep Finn in line at school."

"He's real bad sometimes, Uncle Peeta." She tells me.

I chuckle, "Oh well. As long as he is nice to everyone."

"He's really nice to everyone, he's just loud."

I take her home and Katniss and Willow are excited to see that I brought her home.

Especially Willow.

Katniss and I sit back and watch the girls playing and we talk some.

"I hope she brings the baby over when she comes. I want to see her." Katniss says anxiously.

I laugh, "I'm sure that she will." I say truthfully.

Bristol and Blake got married about two years ago. He adopted Carter and they had Carson about eight months ago.
