Chapter Ninety-One

Katniss POV-

"What did you do?"

"Well, a few weeks ago when we were at your grandparents house, your grandma mentioned to me that your cousin Mason wanted to meet up with you. We had talked about him that morning and I know you said you didn't want to but I called him." I blurt out.

"Katniss." Peeta groans.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to make you happy. He seemed super excited about it." I say defensively.

"When is he coming?"

"I don't know. He said sometime in April probably."

Peeta groans.

"Peeta, I'm sorry but your grandma was telling me how he had wanted to be around you again and I shouldn't have but I took that opportunity." I say.

He sighs, "Okay. I'm not mad, just I wish you would've told me."

"I had forgotten, I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Anything else?"

I shake my head.

"I'm sorry. Thank you for thinking of me and wanting to make me feel better. I appreciate it." Peeta says, pulling me into a side hug.

I sigh, relieved.

"I love you." He says kissing my temple.

"I love you too."

"You hungry?"

"Yes."

"Let's go up and check on the girls and then we can find something." He says standing up.

"A little help, please." I laugh as I struggle to get up.

Peeta laughs and holds his hand out to me and pulls me up.

We go upstairs and I'm out of breath.

He opens the door up and the girls look up, "Hey, Daddy." Willow says smiling.

"Hey, Princess. What are you two doing?" Peeta asks. I go sit on her bed.

"We are looking at books." Willow states the obvious.

There are books all over the floor.

Peeta laughs, "I see that."

"What are you reading, Carter?" He asks her.

"It's a Princess book." She says, flashing the cover.

"Oh." He says.

"What are you and Mommy doing?" Willow asks, looking back at me.

"We came up to check on you girls then we were gonna go make some late lunch." Peeta says.

"Oh."

"Yep." He says awkwardly.

"Mommy?" Willow says, not looking up from her book.

"What?" I ask softly.

"I want to take a nap." She says and looks up at me.

I laugh, "So?"

"Will you take a nap with me?"

"What about Carter? I bet she doesn't want to take a nap. You need to play with her." I say.

"Carter? Do you want to take a nap?" Willow asks.

"Not really but we can if you want to." She says shyly.

"What if, you and Mommy take a nap and Carter and I find something to do?" Peeta suggests.

"But you're my Daddy." Willow complains.
