Chapter 29

Sabrina's POV:

"I'm hoooome!"

I sing as I walk in my apartment. Rowan said she was gonna spend last night here so I came home first instead of her house.
She comes running out of the kitchen with a happy grin glued to her face. She runs up to me and squeezes me lovingly.
I hug her back and say,
"Hey love."

She says,
"I missed ya!"

I smile and say mocking her voice
"I missed ya too!"

I ask sitting on the couch with my arms resting on the top,
"So what's new?"
She sits close to me resting her read on my shoulder as my one arm falls down and wraps around her side. She says,
"Well... High school is scary."

I laugh and say,
"Is the script bad?"

She says,
"No no! One of the episodes is called Maya's secrets or something like that."

I say, intrigued,
"Ooo. What's it about?"

She shrugs and says innocently
"I forgot."

I laugh,
"Pft. How do you not remember?"

She says laughing
"I just honestly don't."

I turn to her and blow raspberries into her neck and say lightly biting her neck
"You gotta rememberrrr!"

She laughs adorably and squirms around saying,
"Okay okay we'll find out tomorrow since you're home earlyYyYYY!"

I pull back with a satisfied smirk on my face. I say,
"I'm bored."

She says,
"Bored? You just got home."

I say changing the subject completely from a random thought in my head,
"You know what would be fun?"

She says,
"What's that?"

I say,
"Getting locked in a store after they close!"

She raises and eyebrow and says,
"Hm. Where'd you get that idea from missy?"

I say,
"Missy Bradford."

She laughs and says,
"No she's gone."

I say,
"She was actually really shy and nervous to be around us."

She says,
"You're getting side tracked."

I say,
"Oh. Right. But I don't know I used to always think about that when I was little and I wanna do it."

She rolls her eyes and laughs getting up,
"You're ridiculous."

I grab her wrist strongly so she gets dragged back down on the couch and I whimper for her to say. She says,
"I wanna get my chips I was getting before you came."

I say,
"Okay okay."

As she gets up and walks into the kitchen I hear her phone get a notification. It's a text from Jake. Ew.

Jake: hey row I'm just curious if everything is okay with you and Sabrina

I decide to reply for her. I wanna know what this kid is talking about..
I say back:

Rowan: yeah why?
Jake: well I just figured with your doubts about your relationship and stuff

Doubts.. About our relationship? What!!

I go to unlock her phone to read their messages, but I hear her close the cabinet and her foot steps toward the living room.
I quickly chuck her phone back on the other side of the couch and look down at mine.
Why was she doubting us?
I'll just find out tonight after she goes to bed.
I mean..
I dropped Brad for her.
I denied Corey for her.
It's clear I was always into her.
Or is she the one doubting us?
If it's about the party then she's gotta let it go.
It was 5 months ago, I was drunk, and I said I was sorry.

I'm brought out of my thoughts when I feel the couch right next to me dip down a little and Rowan rests her head back on my shoulder and smiles at me.
I believably fake smile back and she turns on the tv.
I leave my arms at the top of the couch and start to think more.

What does she even have doubts about?

I'm starting to get some writers block for this book so give me some ideas it'd be greatly appreciated😋
