Chapter 81

Sabrina's POV:

Skip to the next day

I've been sitting awake. All night.
Waiting for something from Rowan.
ANYTHING.
I updated everything on social media every second to see if she was online.

Now that it's morning and a more appropriate time, I decide to call mr Blanchard.

He picks up and says,
"Hey Sabrina."

I say rubbing my face,
"Hey mr Blanchard."

He says,
"Oh please just call me Mark already!"

I let out a weak laugh and say,
"Okay mark... I got a quick question."

He sighs and says,
"Yes she's okay."

I say,
"Huh?"

He says,
"I know what you're talking about. Rowan. She's perfectly fine. Peyton told me what happened and how you called him and told him to drive over here. If you didn't do that, I don't know what would've happened. Jake was already in the middle of slipping through the door and I didn't even hear it. If Peyton never came at the time you sent him, that ass hole would've gotten in.. so thank you Sabrina. Really."

I smile to myself letting out a sigh of relief. I say,
"As long as she's okay. She's my main priority. Always."

He says,
"Wanna talk to her?"

I say looking at the time on my phone,
"She's probably still asleep it's only 8."

He jokes stomping up the steps,
"She better not be."

I laugh and hear the door creek open. He says softly,
"Rowan. Row you awake?"

I hear her voice say quietly in the back,
"Yes."

He says,
"Someone wants to talk to you."

Rowan says into the phone,
"Hello?"

I smile to myself and sigh out happily and say,
"Oh thank God you're okay. Why haven't you been on your phone since last night nothing was delivering! I was getting so worried."

She laughs into the phone and says,
"I'm fine brina. I j-just.. uh. Dropped my phone. Yeah I dropped it."

I roll my eyes and say not believing her
"What did you do?"

She sighs and says,
"I kinda chucked it at the wall."

I smile to myself getting off my bunk and say,
"Don't let your anger get to you as bad as I do."

She says,
"So hey I heard that you basically saved me last night."

I scratch the back of my neck and say,
"Uh-yeah. I was on twitter and saw the trending and I looked through the tweets and saw on the news that he got out so I called Peyton and yeah.."

She says sweetly,
"Thank you baby. Who knows if he would've gotten in if you didn't time that any more perfectly."

I say feeling proud and happy,
"Well of course. I love you."

She says,
"I love you too."

Rowan's POV:

After Sabrina and I's 2 hour random phone conversation, I decided to get ready and showered.

I go downstairs and see my mom cooking breakfast.
She greets,
"Goodmorning honey."

I say,
"Morning mom."

I sit at the table next to my sister and go on my phone. I see I have a missed text from Sabrina:

Sabby❤️: we gotta talk.....

Oh God.

What does this mean?!

Is she mad at me??

Did I do something?

Or is she just joking with me?

I answer back:

Rowan: okay..
Sabby❤️: just know ahead that I'm super sorry and I'm gonna try to make this work.
Rowan: oh God I'm scared
Sabby❤️: idk how to say this
Rowan: just say it like you're ripping off a bandaid
Sabby❤️: I'm not gonna be home for our anniversary....
Rowan: ...
Sabby❤️: it's for the jingle ball. It's pushing two of my shows ahead.
Sabby❤️: I'm just gonna decline and not go to the jingle ball
Rowan: no! Sabrina don't be silly
Sabby❤️: it's our one year
Rowan: we can still celebrate after! It's no big deal.

I'm totally lying. It's a huge deal..

Sabby❤️: Rowan..
Rowan: Sabrina you're doing the jingle ball
Sabby❤️: then you're coming here on the 14th and staying the rest of the tour
Sabby❤️: DONT EVEN REJECT
Sabby❤️: because it's not an invitation
Sabby❤️: it's a demand
Rowan: Sabrina
Sabby❤️: Rowan Eleanor fucking Blanchard
Rowan: fine
Sabby❤️: damn sounds like you don't even want to

Rowan: I just don't want to intrude

Sabby❤️: literally everyone's asking why you're not even here with me and they think I'm a dick for not taking you with me

Rowan: Carmen was watching it yesterday and I walked past as she said that line and I immediately thought to use it on you bc you have no answer for it
