Author's Notes: Hiiiii I didn't forget your request I'm really sorry this took so long qkdlamfkwk T^T I took a screenshot of it but it took so long because I had some stuff to attend to these past few weeks. I also couldn't copy and paste your request since I'm on my phone. But I hope this fits in with your request, even though I think I wasn't able to put more emphasis on overprotective Elrond.

In this one-shot Elladan and Elrohir are a hundred and ten years old since if I did the math correctly Arwen was born when they were a hundred and eleven. I also read that elves' pregnancy lasts for a whole year? Correct me if I'm wrong qjdkakdkq

Thank you so much and I hope you like it!

"What on earth are you doing?"

You spun around, stopping in your tracks as you looked where the voice came from. Standing a few feet away from you down the corridor was your husband. With hands on his hips, he walked towards you with a disapproving look on his face.

"Did I not tell you to rest?" he scolded. His eyes moved to the books you were carrying. "Goodness, these are heavy!"

You pouted and whined as he took the books from your arms. "I was carrying three books, Elrond, hardly a burden at all." With ease he held these three books in one arm and placed his other arm around your shoulders.

"Three hardbound books." Elrond sighed and looked around before leaning down to place a kiss on your lips. "If you need to carry or fetch anything, then let me know and I will take them for you."

"Elrond I am perfectly able to do these things on my own," you said, exasperated by how protective he was being.

"You are with a child, my love. Our third child."

"Yes, but a month has not even passed. People do not even know I am pregnant."

"But I know and I want to do everything that I can to keep you and our child safe."

You were about to roll your eyes and argue more with the Lord of Rivendell when you heard loud voices echo through the halls. The two of you then saw two ellyn appearing from around the corner, laughing and shouting as they ran. When they spotted you, they tackled you into a hug and hid themselves behind you (not that it helped in any way since these elves were a hundred and ten years old and they were quite taller than you already).

"Goodness gracious, what did I tell you about being too careless around your Naneth?" Elrond hissed, pinching their cheeks.

Elladan groaned and Elrohir simply chuckled and shook his head in amusement. Like you, the twins thought their father was being too dramatic. Not that it meant they would start pushing and throwing you around. Oh no, they were also quite intent on feeding you nutritious food and making sure you were always comfortable. But they thought that not letting you move around was too much.

"Ada, calm down," Elladan said. "Nana's fine. And so is our sibling. They're strong like us!"

You chuckled and placed a kiss on their cheeks the moment Elrond let them go. "What are the two of you up to? You are causing quite a disturbance in this fine morning."

Elrohir averted his gaze. "Well, we..."

Elladan scratched his cheek. "We might have...uh..."

"...angered a certain ellon whilst he was doing his work..."

From somewhere they heard someone's voice calling out the twins' names. It was getting louder and you began to hear the rage in his voice. You raised an eyebrow at Elrond and he closed his eyes. Maybe if he didn't look, the problem will go away. You nudged him with your elbow. He pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Children," he started. His voice was quiet yet the twins knew this was the start of a lecture. Even though Elladan and Elrohir were mischievous, they listened to their parents and were very polite. But today they felt like enjoying the day and being a bit more carefree.

And so after exchanging looks, the twins ran away.

Elrond glared after them and shouted, "Children!" as if trying to stop them. They knew they were going to be grounded the next day but that was alright—they'll figure it all out tomorrow.

As Elladan and Elrohir disappeared from your sight, Elrond's shoulders slumped forward. "Children," he said, and he said it with the tone as if he was so tired of being a parent.

You laughed and placed a comforting hand on your husband's shoulder. He took a deep breath before turning to you and placing his arm around your waist. You leaned close to him and the two of you started to walk.

"You look like you have aged," you teased. "Let them have fun, Elrond. I am sure you were once like that too with your brother."

"I'll have you know I was the behaved one between Elros and I."

"Oh really?"

Elrond was about to argue when voices echoed once more through the halls. It all happened too fast. Your twins ran towards you and you stepped aside just in time to see them grab your husband by his arms. The books fell onto the floor and you picked them up whilst giggling. But you weren't even done picking up the books when a pair of hands took them away from you.

"I am still not letting you carry these," Elrond said and he was then dragged off by your sons (Elrond made the two carry books so each of them held one in their arms).

Running after them was Erestor who had ink on his cheeks and hands, and holding a paper that was all crumpled and ripped in its edges and corners.

"We have the Lord of Rivendell with us, Erestor! You cannot hurt us," Elladan shouted.

"Even Lord Elrond knows not to disturb me whilst I do my work," Erestor growled.

As you watched them run farther away from you, you raised your voice and exclaimed, "And you said you wanted to have another child after this third one!"

From the distance you heard Elrond say, "Three is enough, I now realize!"

"What if Nana is carrying twins again?"

"You best believe I will disown the two of you."
