She was crying.
"Ava?" I said reaching out to touch her arm.
She jumped, "AWWEE." She screamed holding her arm.
"Are you ok ?" I asked her.
She walked in and sat at my kitchen table.
"Ava, it's December, why do you still have them sunglasses? I already saw your eyes, are you going to tell me what happened?." I asked trying to take them off.
She slapped my hand.
"I'm thinking about dropping out of school." She said plainly.
I looked at her crazy , "What ? Why would you do something stupid like that ?"
"I'll never be shit anyways. I'm about to start stripping, at the club that Ava dad owns."
She said.
"What do you mean you will never be shit ? What do you mean you want to work at a club ? Ava ? Do you hear yourself ? Your dad would kill you right now."
"My daddy can't talk ! He has done worst shit then me." She rolled her eyes.
I shook my head at her then hurried and snatched her glasses off her face.
I gasped.
She covered her face.
"Give me my glasses!" She yelled.
"Ava !" I cried, "Your face is even worse then before !"
I dropped her glasses in shock.
They broke.
I couldn't even recognize her.
Her eyes were so swollen.
Red.
Broken eye veins.
Scratches all over.
"It look like you fault a tiger! Ava ! I know you came over here for a reason!"
Ava was trying to fix her glasses.
"Look, I came over here because I couldn't get you on your phone."
I looked at my phone, I accidentally had it on silent.
"Angel wanted me to invite you with us. Lunch. At Applebee's. Tonight."
I reached out and grabbed her arms to lift up her long shirt.
Purple bruises.
"Did she do this ?" I asked concerned.
"No!" She snatched away.
She hurried to the door, "If your coming, meet us at 8pm. The one on 11th street."
She rushed out.
I looked at the time and it was 5pm.
I needed to go see them together. At the same time.
I needed to help Ava.
I took a shower, put on a nice outfit, fixed my hair, then went to go pick up Zeek from daycare.
I called Hundo.
No answer.
