The next morning I felt a little better.
It was Saturday so luckily, no school.
I felt good enough to go to Walgreens and grab flu medicine.
I had just enough money to get it.
I took the medicine in the car.
My nose was so stuffy and my head hurted.
I didn't feel as feverish anymore.
I called Ava to see how she was doing but I didn't get a answer.
I texted her, "just checking on you." I said.
Zeek was in the back seat coughing and sneezing.
"Shit!" I said, "he caught my cold." I shook my head.
I lefted him in the car and ran into Walgreens real fast to get him so infant medicine.
The line was so long.
I couldn't wait. I kept looking out the window at my car to make sure Zeek was ok.
FUCK IT! I thought.
I quickly threw the bottle of medicine in my winter coat.
I got in the car and locked the door.
It was so cold.
I had my hands up on the vent to get some heat.
I pulled off when I had the chance.
"I'm not a thief! I'm not a thief!" I said to myself as I drove home.
I felt bad for what I did .
I made it home and hurried in the house covering Zeek's head with his blanket from the cold.
I got in the house and took my medicine.
I then gave Zeek his medicine.
We both laid in my bed.
"I hope your daddy calls today." I said to Zeek playing with his little fingers.
I got a text from a random number.
"You still have time to come down and make some money." I read the text and was confused.
"Who is this ?" I asked.
"Angel." She said.
I rolled my eyes, "where is Ava ?" I angrily text back.
"Don't worry about her." She said.
I was scared for Ava. I didn't know what was fully going on, but I was going to figure it out.

I went out in the hall to grab my Mail.
Bills. Nothing important.
A old lady was standing behind me.
She was getting her mail too.
"Hello, you look terrible baby, don't you want some tea?" The old said. She even sound old.
"Ugh, I have to get back to my son."I said.
"Bring him too, I'm right across the hall." She said walking back into her house.
