I gave her a fake smile and hurried back to the kitchen to do my job.
Landen came in the kitchen, "Aye, what do you mean you messed up your mom's life ?" He asked sounding concerned.
"Long story." I said.

The car ride home was very awkward with Landen.
"I apologize for Candy's behavior." He said clearing the air.
I looked over at him, "I didn't know she worked with us, let alone did I know you had a girl..well fiancé." I said dry.
"We started the Business together. We have been engaged for 5 months now, we been together for 6 years."
I nodded, "Do you guys have kids ?" I asked.
He nodded, "A daughter, she is 4 years old."
I looked back out the window.
We pulled up infront of my building, "Thanks for the ride." I said getting out the car.
I rushed into my building and went straight in the house.
I was to tired to pick up Zeek, I needed some rest.

I woke up to somebody banging on my front door.
It scared the hell out of me.
"Who is it ?" I yelled from my bedroom.
"Fanny! Hurry! Open the door!" I ran to the door and swung it open.
I was so nervous.
I could tell in her voice that it was something serious.
She had Zeek in her arms, and he was twitching.
"What's wrong ?" I screamed out grabbing his flabby body from her.
"I don't know ! He was sucking on a Ginger sucker I gave him, and then it just happened!"
I instantly started crying, "What did you do ?!" I screamed at her as I stared at him.
"The ambulance is on its way, I'm so sorry!" She yelled.
At this point we both were crying.
He was foaming at the mouth and his little eyes were rolling around his head.

They wouldn't let me in his room when they were working on him.
I sat in the waiting room next to Fanny.
She was still crying.
I couldn't even look at her.
I felt like the reason he was sick was because of her.
I was tapping my foot and taking deep breaths for almost 2 hours.
A doctor came out and stood infront of Fanny and I with a clip board.
I stood up nervously, "What is it doctor ?" I asked fidgeting with my fingers.
"He's fine. He had a seizure."
I was confused, "Sezure ? How ?"
"Oh thank Jehovah that he is ok!" Fanny jumped up with her hands in the air.
