"Ava is a lost cause now Charles ! Even if she moves back to Chicago, she still will be lost! Hell, Angel might follow her there."
Charles took a deep breath, "I got to tend to Zeek, I'll call you later." He hung up.
I went into my text messages to read the message Landen sent me.
"Call me ASAP!"
It was so random because he never asks me to call him.
I haven't talked to him since he fired me.
I laid across my bed and called him.
"Hello?" He said in a panic.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked confused.
"Have you talked to Fanny?"
"Not since she left to Mississippi, why?"
He took a deep sigh, "I should come over there."
I started to get worried, "Why ? What happened?"
I sat up my bed and my heart started racing.
"I'm going to come over." He said then hung up.
I quickly called Fanny.
Her phone was going to voice mail.
"Please be ok." I said over and over to myself.
I didn't need no more stress in my life.
I had so much going and I already felt like I had nobody to run too.
Fanny was my only mother left, I didn't need her to be gone too.
The situation made me think about my momma.
I wanted to call and talk to her so bad.
I paced the floor in my room thinking of the worst.
My door bell finally ring.
I buzzed him in.
Landen came in, looked at me sadly, then sat down on the couch.
"What! What!" I yelled frustrated.
He took a deep breath, "me and Candy was watching the news and they said 4 older women were in a car crash heading towards Missouri."
I sat down next to him, "Ok, how do you know it was Fanny ?" I asked in a panic.
"They said it was a blue Mitsubishi gallant, the same type of car they left in." He said.
Tears filled my eyes, "It could be a coincidence...right ?" I asked.
"I mean, she's not answering the phone." Landen started crying.
We both were crying.
He hugged me tightly and cried on my shoulder, "I can't loose her." He said.
I shook my head, "Me either Landen."
