Jax's POV

I'm not sure how long it took me to go back to sleep but after a while I was finally able to drift back off only to be woken up a while later to the sound of whispering.

It didn't take me long to realize that I was the only one still in the bed. Someone was in the shower; another was on Ryder's bed, probably Ryder, while the other one was at the door, talking to someone in a hushed whisper.

"He's not going to want to stay here by himself," Liam's voice said, I could tell he was frowning.

"He won't be alone. Patrick said he would stay with him."

"Oh, like that's so much better."

"It's the best I can do. We both know letting him have a personal day will help but after what happened yesterday I'm not going to let him be alone."

"Then let us stay with him."

"You know as well as I do that you three don't have many more personal days left. Do you really want to use it when Jax could stay with someone else."

"You make it sound like he's someone sort of punch card."

"You know what I mean," the voice said with a sigh.

"Why don't we just let Jax decide?" Ryder asked from his side of the room, not really caring to be quiet.

"Ask Jax what," I say as I heaved myself off the bed. My body still felt tired and my lungs were on fire. I honestly felt like I might pass out at any given moment.

My eyes opened just wide enough to see Andrew standing at the door. He didn't look much better than I felt and I'm not sure if it was because of the time or what happened last night.

"I'm offering you a personal day," Andrew said after a while of looking me up and down. "If you take it, you will be excused from all classes and homework assignments for today." I stared at him with a slight glare, at least I think I was glaring, I didn't have much control over myself right now.

"What's the catch?"

"Ryder, Callum, and Liam won't be able to stay here with you and you can't stay here alone. Patrick has offered to stay here with you until they get out of class."

"I'd rather go to class," I say as I prop myself up on the wall as I rummage through my sock drawer for a shirt.

Liam sighed as he looked over to me.

"Don't be stubborn. You can't stand up, how are you going to get to your classes?"

"Callum," I state simply. "He's quite good at carrying people."

"And for the other classes?"

"You grab one leg, Ryder grabs the other and you just drag me everywhere." Ryder lets out a small giggle but cuts himself off when Andrew shot him a look that I couldn't place but Ryder's tone changes all together when he sees it.

"I think your leg weighs more than me," Ryder pointed out with a frown. "Take the personal day and just ignore Patrick."

The personal day actually sounded pretty good to be honest considering I was about to fall asleep standing up right now but I'm not sure it would be a good idea to be left here without one of them here.

"We'll stop by for lunch and stay until we have to go to P.E," Liam says as he walks over and hesitantly put a hand on my cheek. Part of me wanted to pull away because of how girily this felt but the rest of me knew I was about to go a whole day without seeing them so I should soak up what I can while I can.

Andrew stared at us from his place at the door, disbelief written across his face when he saw Liam's hand. I couldn't help but glare at him until Liam pulled my eyes back to him.

"Please, just stay here today. As much as I would love for you to sit through history with me, I think you would do better here today." I couldn't help but sigh causing Liam to smirk, knowing that he had won.

"Fine but you better come back for lunch."

"Of course, we'll bring you something."

"I'll tell Patrick," Andrew said as he walked away just as Callum stepped out of the bathroom.

"What was Andrew doing here?" He asked as he slipped his shirt over his head.

"He gave Jax a personal day," Ryder said as he tied his shoes.

"So we aren't going to class today?"

"I'm not," I clarify with a small smirk. "You all are."

"I'm not sure it's a good idea for you to stay here by yourself today," he said with a frown as he began drying his hair.

"Patrick is going to stay with him," Liam said he flopped down on his bed. Callum only hummed just as another knock rang through the door.

"You better play nice," Callum said with a small scowl while Ryder went to the door while staring at us.

"And if I don't?" I said with a teasing smile. Callum's scowl turned into a heated smirk as he wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me closer, his lips hovering right above me ear.

"I'm not entirely sure you want to find out," he said before biting my ear a bit too hard before backing away just as Ryder opened the door.

Patrick stood in the doorway in casual clothes. His gun and other weapons were notably missing and I'm not sure if I liked that or not.

"How are you feeling this morning?" He asked with a smile while I lowered myself on the bed.

"I feel like one big bruise," I say coldly, making Callum send me a warning glance, which only made me smile in response.

"Well that sucks," he said with a sigh as he perched himself at the corner of my bed making my glare return. Even Callum flinched a bit Patrick situated himself.

I didn't exactly love when they used to sit on my bed before everything happened, I just tolerated it to keep a fight from breaking out, but Patrick wasn't them. Patrick didn't get to come in here and act like he owned everything.

Before I even got the chance to tell him off, Ryder spoke up.

"You can use my bed," he said a bit too quickly, helping Patrick pick up on the fact that this was a big time no.

Patrick took the hint quickly and took the same position on Ryder's bed before looking at his watch.

"It's about time for first period. If you three are hoping to eat before class you should head down there now."

Ryder frowned as he looked back over to me.

"What about Jax?"

"I'll drop him off a trey on the way to English," Callum decided. Patrick looked like he wanted to argue but wisely said nothing as Callum ushered everyone out the door.

"We'll see you at lunch," Liam reminded before Callum shut the door behind them, but not before sending me one last warning glare.

"So, what do you want to do?" Patrick asked as he looked around the room. I only roll my eyes as shimmy myself down into a laying position.

"I'm going back to sleep. Try not to be too loud."
