Carter's POV

"Hand me that box," Liam groaned as he pulled out the top-drawer o his dresser.

"What's the magic word," I asked sarcastically as I reach for the box.

"Please hand me the box."

"Much better," I say as I throw the box him.

We had been packing for over an hour and weren't even halfway done.

"Since when did we get so much shit," Callum groaned as he finished writing his name on a box.

"Well it has been three years and multiple Town Day," Ryder points out. "Shit was bound to pile up eventually."

"Why did you even let me buy this," Liam asked as he held up some ugly shoes. "Two years and I never even wore them."

"Because you wanted them," Ryder said with a shrug.

"I think the better question is why you put them in your sock drawer," I said with a small frown.

"Because there was no room left under the bed," he said in a duh-like tone as he rolled his eyes.

"Do I even want to know what's under there?"

"Just a lot of old school papers. Maybe a few books that got shoved under there on accident," he said as he looked at the shoes again. "Should I just throw them away?"

"No, they're almost brand new," I say. "Put them in a box and we can give it to a good will or something once we get settled."

"You know, packing all of this sucks but unpacking is going to be so much worse," Callum groaned.

"No it won't," Ryder said excitedly. "Unpacking is going to be the fun part because we'll be able organize and set up everything exactly how we like it!"

"Well if you want you can organize all my stuff too when we get there," Liam said with a smile as he threw something else in a box.

"I'm going to go get some more boxes from the office," I say when I notice we were starting to run out. "How many boxes do you think we'll need for the night?"

"Go ahead and get like 20ish more. Maybe we can get all the done tonight. We'll be leaving in a few weeks so we kinda need to get a move on it," Callum said as he moved to the movie shelf. "This alone is going to take like 5," he said teasingly.

"I didn't hear you hating on them for the past three years when we were bored," Ryder said before sticking out his tongue.

I only roll my eyes as I head to the door.

"I'm one of the seniors graduating," I say when I get to the office. "Can I get like 25 more boxes?"

The rude receptionist just pointed to an open room.

"We have a 15 box limit for the day. Have at it." I don't even bother mumbling a thanks as I head to the room.

The room was nothing fancy. Just a small storage closet that was mostly just packed with folded boxes. Still, I almost walked right out of the room when I noticed the other person in the room.

"Give me just a minute and I'll be out of here," Kyle said without even turning around. I say nothing as I stand there.

Do I need to front?

'I guess not.'

"Oh hey Carter," he said with a small smile when he turned around. "You run out of boxes too?"

"Uh, yea. We still have a lot to pack," I say as I shift my weight back and forth.

"Have you guys got to meet your employer yet? Our guy, Alex, set up a meeting yesterday. The new boss is actually pretty cool. He was from camp too, he even had Alex as his therapist."

"No, Andrew says we won't meet ours until after we get settled into the apartment."

"Oh cool. It's probably better that way anyway. No need to get anxious this close to the finish line," he said with a small chuckle. "Are all five of you moving in together?" I only nod as I bite my lip. I just really wanted to go back to the cabin.

"I know you don't really like me," Kyle said with a small frown as he walked towards the door. "But I really hope we can still meet up from time to time. I'm sure you know that there hasn't been a day that's gone by for over two years now where I didn't see Jax. I'm not ready to loose him yet."

I was on the couch in a second as Jax forces front. I only watch as Jax pulls him into a man hug.

"You aren't loosing me you ass."

"I thought you were still kind of mad at me."

"I was but I can't stay mad at my best friend forever," he says before letting go. "It might be a while before we actually get to meet up again but we won't become stranger or anything."

"It's going to be hard for us when we get out there. You know that right? We aren't like the others. Fighting isn't just something we used to do for money, it was how we coped."

I had though about that way too much these past few months. The others had longer to figure out better ways to deal with everything. Punching things was still the best way we had so far.

"Yea. I know," Jax admitted as he looked down at the floor.

"We'll help each other get through it. Just, promise that I can call you if things start getting bad. And promise that you'll call me if you need someone else who understands."

"I promise," Jax mumbled as he stood up straight again. "Now quit with all the sappy shit and get back to your boyfriend before he starts getting worried."

"I'll see you around ass hat," he said with a smirk as he nudged my shoulder while walking out of the room.

"Fuck you shit dick."

"Only if you're the one bottoming," he yelled back, slamming the office door behind him.

Fucking prick.
