The trio is at the cafe, drowning in thoughts. Sam was trying to find a case in his laptop, and Dean was strolling through the newspaper. Karina was sipping her hot cocoa watching between them to see if they could do anything. It's been half-hour of nothing in between. She couldn't help but think about Sarah all this time. She knew that Sam was thinking about her too, but the cases came first for him.

Dean finally looked up at them as he closed the newspaper, "Well dudes. Not a descend lead in all Nebraska. What have you got?"

"Well, I've been scanning Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota. Here-- a woman in Iowa fell 10,000 feet from an airplane and survived."

"Sounds more like "That's incredible!" than "The Twilight Zone."

Sam looked down at the computer until Dean suggested one thing, "Hey, you know, we could keep heading East-- New York, upstate. Could stop by and see Sarah, again. Huh? Me and Kay would be in our robes, eating pizzas. Or Kay has a martini with Sarah. You guys can do both.'

Karina looked at him, almost smirking by the way he was talking to them. Dean looked at Sam who was still on the computer, "She's a cool chick, man. Smokin'. You two seemed pretty friendly. What do you say?"

Sam chuckled, "Yeah, I don't know. Maybe someday. But in the meantime, we got a lot of work to do, Dean, and you know that."

Dean looked at Karina with a suggestive look on his face. Karina gave him a pointed look, "What he said."

He shook his head at both of them. He realized that they were right. "Yeah, you're right. What else you got?"

"Uh, a man in Colorado. A local man by the name of Daniel Elkins was found mauled in his home."

Karina repeated herself, "Elkins. Elkins. Why do I know that name?"

Karina kept muttering the name and so did Dean while Sam continued reading the article.

"Doesn't ring a bell. Sounds like the police don't know what to think. At first, they said it was some sort of bear attack and now they've found some signs of robbery."

Karina grabbed John's journal, finding a particular page. She read over it a bit and found the name. She showed Sam, "Here. Check it out."

Sam read the name and number. D. Elkins. He looked at Karina and asked, "You think it's the same Elkins?"

"It's a Colorado area code."

At night falls, they all arrived at the Elkins's cabin where he was murdered. They all used their flashlights, entering the property of an unknown stranger that John knew. Dean and Karina walked a little further. They walked into the office, having Karina look around the mess.

"Looks like the maid didn't come today."

Dean stopped at the desk, reading the journal of Elkins. Sam at the front was examining the ring of salt. "Hey, there's salt over here, right beside the door."

Dean began flicking through Elkins's journal, "You mean protection-against-demon salt, or "whoops I spilled the popcorn" salt."

"It's clearly a ring. Do you think this guy Elkins was a player?"

Karina come over to Dean, reading what he was reading. It's the same kind of hunter's journal as John's. Karina shouted out to Sam, "Definitely."

Sam comes up behind Dean, seeing the journal they're both reading. "That looks like a hell of a lot like Dad's"

Karina nodded, "Yeah, but these dates are dated back to the '60s. Long time before you boys were born, unless you have expensive plastic surgeons."

They both shook their heads, quietly. Karina nodded and muttered thank God. They all moved to another room, seeing the mess times worse than the room before. They all looked at the hold on the roof, claiming that whoever came to him. He was the brave one.
