Jossalyn Letang was living her best life or so she thought. She was happily married to the love of her life.
She was living her dream life working for the Pittsburgh Penguins as a PR intern. That's how she met Kris. He was in his early twenties when he came to play for the Penguins. Jossalyn was only 16. They started their whirlwind romance in secret and then the day she turned 18 they came out.
At age 19 she had their son Nathan. After that, that's when the beatings started. He would have a bad game and come home and take it out on her.
Age 21 Jossalyn suffered her first miscarriage. A few months later she had her second. Kris blamed her for it.
But finally at at 23 she had their daughter Melissa. The beatings only got worse after that.
Finally a year after Melissa was born Jossalyn had a chance and she took it. She had money in a coffee can hidden, a credit card open using her mothers middle and maiden names and a burner phone. He went away on a road trip to the western part of Canada so he would be gone for a week or so. Her best friend Lexie knew her plan so she left her car hidden in the lot behind their house.
Later that night Jossalyn made a run for it undetected with the kids and got out. She had forwarded the house phone to the burner so when he called it would come through. He knew nothing.
Jossalyn was now Penelope Walters a single mother of Joshua and Taylor Walters. They made it to North Carolina and made a whole new life. Penelope didn't have many options for work so at night her neighbor would come and watch the kids while she worked at the local strip club.
That's where she met Chase someone who could maybe change her life, if she could afford to let him in. If the fear of being found wouldn't over power her.

Chase Elliott just finished his 8th season in the NASCAR Cup Series. It was one of his best seasons minus when he won the championship in 2020. He won the regular series championship. He won five races. But after the last race of the 22 season he fell off the grid and just stepped away from racing for a while.
It was now January 23 and he had just flown to Charlotte to do photo shoots for the upcoming season. He was staying with his best friend and fellow competitor Ryan Blaney while in town.
Because of being off the grid he missed the wedding of Bubba and Amanda two other friends of his which happened to fall on Ryan's birthday.
To make up for it he agreed to go out that night.. little did he know he would meet a girl, a stripper and be drawn to her.
That's how he ended up at the Oasis Club where he met Penelope. She was a blonde hair goddess who shouldn't be stripping to make a living. Chase being drawn to her wanted to help.
Will he be able to save her from her past so that they can have a future. Or will her past come back and take her away for good.
