Sookai- Zoo Encounter

9:00. The alarm blared. The zoo was opening. Soobin woke up in his den. He pushed a couple of buttons on the wall's pinpad. His bedroom glitched then morphed into a bathroom.

A couple kids stood outside, looking through the glass, watching him brush his teeth. They took a couple of photos and read the plaque below the viewing window. "Soobin Choi. 25 years old. Found in Seoul, South Korea. Currently today's Contasia. The only human known to have been born without an ability for over 500 years. Parents are unknown. Status: Highly Dangerous. Poses a threat to himself due to lack of abilities. Very fragile."

When the kids were done reading, they looked up to see him showering.

Soobin was used to this. Everything he did was watched as long as the zoo was open. He was the only human inside. The rest were mutant animals or regular animals that needed protecting.

Normal humans were born with some ability. The most were low level ones like talking to animals. The advanced version was being able to control them. Most animals hated humans for this reason so the ability to talk to them was no good. Another lame one was heightened smell. It seemed to be more of a curse than a gift. Some extremely rare humans had all of their senses heightened. These people were the police.

While everyone had a gift, there was only one person in the world who could manipulate atoms. He was a celebrity for this reason. Kai Kamal Huening could turn anything into anything. He could split an atom with the snap of his fingers. He could turn the earth into the moon if he wanted. He had amazing gifts but solemnly used them in fear of the consequences. If he was being honest, he mostly used it to eat junk food and stay in shape.

Today, Kai was going to visit his complete opposite in life. It became a spectacle that Soobin knew nothing about. Camera crew and journalists were lined up to watch the interaction go down.

Soobin looked out the window. Seeing cameras was nothing new. Seeing that many large ones with giant boom microphones was. He got changed and pressed a code into the pinpad. He was now in a living room. The TV turned on. He saw a camera tracking Kai to the zoo. The camera kept following while a reporter talked about all the potential danger Soobin was in for not being special.

Kai was annoyed at the journalists blocking the path so he put 10 foot glass walls on the sides of the aisle. Now he could walk freely and he dared to challenge anyone to take them down.

Soobin watched him walk up to the viewing window. He then watched the seperating glass disappear. Kai offered his hand. He didn't take it. Instead, the blonde backed up as far as he could. "Please don't hurt me!"

Kai stopped moving. He put his hand down then sat on the edge where the window used to be. "I won't hurt you. My name is Kai. I actually want to help you if you're interested."

"Help me?"

Kai waved his hand. Soobin blinked once then found himself sitting right next to Kai. The powerful man laughed at the reaction from the blonde. "I can give you a power if you want. Surely you've thought about it before."

He had thought about it so many times. It was always the same power too. Invisibility. He was tired of people staring at him every day. The only time he got peace was when the zoo keepers went home for the night. Even then, some of them pulled night shifts. Soobin looked back at black haired god before him. "Why are you doing this?"

"My mom can see numbers above everyone's head. Her and my dad have the same number. They're soul mates. She went to the zoo with him last week. You apparently have the same number as me."

"And that is?"

"Number 5? I don't know. It never made sense when I was growing up. But she told me to go put you out of your misery so here I am."
