Draupadi was up all night and there was only one person to blame for this. ARJUN. His name sent shivers down her spine, Through out the night she kept tossing and turning till the point were she gave up, her dear sisters were in her tent tonight. They had spent the evening talking away and how the older brother Sadashiv had gotten a proposal and who they could have a Babhi soon if their father agreed. She reached for a pillow as she hugged it to her chest, her heart was beating rapidly as she thought of HIM. How are you supposed to hate the one that you are falling for? She asked herself.
After what felt like hours she finally got to sleep.
*Morning*
She was awoken by the sound of soldiers marching and chanting the name of the respected king. She awoke with a start and rushed to get ready, she decided to go with red as it would be better at hiding blood stains even if it wasn't her own. She reached the grand tent were her father wore a distressed face. Rubbing her temple and dreading to ask, she placed her petit hand on her fathers shoulder, making him turn towards her. Bracing herself she asked "Pitashree what's the matter." She was shocked as her father pulled her into a bear hug, as he kept mumbling "Meri putri." over and over again, after a while he led her over to the sofa and made her sit, food was placed on the table next to him as reached over and started to feed his daughter lovingly,after feeding her he asked "Putri yesterday i was told that you nearly turned into Kali maa. What happened."
She knew exactly what her father was on about, she explained everything to him as he listened carefully. Finally he said " My dear i'm not going to stop you from going to war but please be careful and try to control your anger." She nodded at his words and pulled her father into a hug, once releasing her father she laid her head in his lap, no matter what the situation she would always find peace here as her father played with her soft hair.
After a while the father and daughter went out to lead there army into battle for the second day.
Once reaching they went through the formalities before launching into war. This time she refused to go in a chariot saying it was slowing her down, so she talk her favourite white horse. Shakuni had stopped Draupadi in her path and rudely told her to get down so he could end her. She reached down and battled the trickster, and successfully got him on the floor. In a weak voice he said "Please don't kill me Rajkumari."
Across the battle field Arjun saw that the Rajkumari had successfully got his Mamashree begging, as much as he wanted to watch how this turned out, he knew he had to protect his family, he reached to were she was and loudly said "Rajkumari." She turned at the sound of his voice. Annoyed she asked, "Yes Rajkumar, how can i help you." She smiled sweetly, sarcastically. He rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile.
His attention was suddenly drawned to his uncle as he said "Putra Arjun, save me from this evil Rajkumari." At this Draupadi laughed as Shakuni and Arjun looked at her, she quickly stopped and said "Yes i'm so evil do end me Rajkumar." She continued laughing. She let Shakuni go as he ran and hid behind Arjun as Draupadi was almost on the floor laughing. She composed herself and started to walk away when arjun reached for his sword and placed it by her neck. Draupadi smirked and said "You didn't do good Rajkumar." in a similar fashion as yesterday he said in annoyed tone "You keep saying that but you don't do anything about it ." She warned him "Well if i hurt you don't go crying to Maharani Kunti." He smirked and said "Lets do this."
They walked a few paces in front and got ready in their battle stances, they looked into each others eyes as the circled around finally Draupadi made the first move that was blocked by Arjun, as he did the same and Draupadi blocked it, This went on and on as Arjun swept his sword on the ground hoping to get her feet but was surprised as she jumped and swung her sword down onto him. He narrowly missed. As he watched her Smirk. She decided to smash her sword into his jaw and took this as an advantage to strike him again he grabbed hold of her wrist as her sword dropped and somehow to his shock re-appeared in her other hand. Recovering he spun her towards himself and placed the sword at her neck.
He whispered into her ear and said "not as great as you thought huh." He smirked as she shuddered against him, he kept talking "You know that you are the only one to last this long.""Guess i'm just to good."He decided to keep talking enjoying seeing her shudder at his touch he also said"Ohh and see you tonight." Draupadi finally recovered and jabbed her elbow into him which sent him flying and dropping his sword before he had a chance to recover she kicked him in the back of his legs which sent him toppling, She stood over him ready to end him, as she moved to do just that she stopped and dropped her sword and crouched down to say "Not so good now are we Rajkumar." he replied back with "Arjun." confused she said "What?" he carried on "Call me that what's the formality for." "Fine then." She said "You call me by my name then." Hearing this he said "Krishnaa." She was shocked "Your one of the only people who call me that " "Is that ok." she replied "That's up to you i couldn't care less i was brought up to hate you so i don't care." Hearing the hate part he was shocked.
Draupadi got up and stretched a hand out to help him up with he gladly accepted. As they held each others hand a jolt of electricity was felt by the two, as their eyes locked. They started into each others eyes until Draupadi's Brother Samarthya exclaimed " Di we need you Bhrata Drisht has been attacked and is struggling come quick." She nodded at him and said "i'm coming you go and help and i'll be there soon okay." He nodded his head and turned to Arjun and gave him a nod of acknowledgement and growled slightly as he saw the prince holding his sisters hand, at that Draupadi pulled her hand out of arjun's and touched her hair quickly, her brother rode off and she started to make her way to her horse and was shocked as he appeared behind her . He again said see you tonight." She smiled and nodded. He helpt her mount her horse and watched her ride off to help her family. He placed a hand on his heart and quickly went back to the task at hand.
Draupadi reached to see her family struggling, She was getting angry and she could feel it as her arms started changing into a black colour. This wasn't good. But calming herself down she sent the people that were trying to harm her family flying. They looked in her direction and smiled. Dhrist pulled his twin sister into a bear hug muttering a 'than you' and soon the other brothers joined in along with Shikandani. they pushed the two sisters into the middle and hugged the living daylights out of them as they all stood as a wall protecting their sisters. Once recovering they fought side by side keeping a close eye on Draupadi with the fear of her transforming into Kali or Durga Mata at the back of their minds continuously. From across the battle field she could see Arjun battling some soldiers, he caught her eye and smiled as she turned her attention back to the war at hand.
After a few hours, the sun finally set, the second day of the war was done.
