I woke up as the sun rays disturbed my lovely sleep. I looked beside me to find the best morning view ever, nandini hugging me in her sleep! I looked at our positions properly. Our legs were tangled, our faces just inches apart, cuddling each other and her hot breath tickling my face...what else could a person wish for? Surprised that how come I am drooling over my best friend? So well yes, I know that I am attracted to nandini and I have made peace with it. I am going with the flow because this feels so right and then lets see what happens. I don't want our special bond to break just like that due to my feelings. I need to know what does nandini feel about me and then rake this relationship ahead because I can't lose her....not now not ever!

Yesterday was the best day ever. It was so....magical...for me atleast. All those cute cute expressions that nandini made whenever I gave her a surprise was driving me crazy in my head.

Nandini Murthy what are you doing to me?

I woke up with a content smile on my face and slowly untangled us but couldn't as nandini was tightly gripping my shirt.

Damn! This girl is so cute even in her sleep.

I had no option other than waking her up so I gently started caressing her forehead.

Manik: nandini wake up....look its morning already baba
But the sleepyhead did not budge.

Manik: nandu utho na please princess
I called her princess, the name with which everyone used to call her, especially her amma appa and I was sure this would grab her attention and see I was so right. She peeped out of her blanket and then opened one eye and looked around and slowly shifted her head on my lap.

Such a kiddo! I chuckled.

Manik: waky waky princess
I said again lovingly and this time she opened her eyes and gave me a lazy smile.

Nandini*lazily*: good morning mani

This one word 'mani' made my time stop. Everything freezed around me. It was after so long she was calling me with that name and trust me, it sounds the best from her lips just like a melody.

Manik: Kya kaha tumne abhi?

Nandini: huh?
She asked confused as she woke up stretching her arms and yawning.

Manik: tumne abhi mujhe kaunse naam se bulaya?
I reframed my question.

Nandini: oh mani...I called you mani. Kyu you don't like it now?
She pouted sadly.

Manik: are no no....I toh love it. Why don't you call me with this name only always?

Nandini: but manik-
She tried to reason but I cut her in between.

Manik: no buts...you will call me mani only and that's final! Get that? No further arguments over it
And I knew she had to agree.

Nandini: ok mani
She bobbed her head cutely.

Manik: Chalo now freshen up and then we will have our breakfast and leave alright?

Nandini: ok

We freshened up and after like ten minutes were sitting on the table to have our breakfast.

Nandini: so Mr. Malhotra what do you have for breakfast today?

Manik: Ms. Murthy today we have (taking the lid off) pancakes for you

Nandini*beaming*: wow!! Teddy bear pancake
She said licking her lips and clapping her hands happily while I nodded with a laugh.

Nandini: manik I am so happy as well as lucky that you still remember how crazy I am for teddy bears. Thankyouuu so much

Manik: are stop thanking me again and again and eat it or else i will eat it all alone and not share with you at all

Nandini: hawwww....no no come on lets eat

They had their breakfast and now it was time to leave. Nandini looked around the place for the last time where they had and shared such beautiful moments and so did manik but Manik's eyes stopped on one thing or we can say on a person, Nandini. Yes, he was busy admiring nandini. He wasn't sure if it was love yet but he was sure enough that the feeling that he had for her was way more than just attraction. They were about to step out when nandini stopped in her tracks and turned around swiftly and then hurried inside again where as manik stood there confused by her actions.

Manik: Kya hua? Why are you going in again nandini?

Nandini: woh manik I forgot to take these two
She pointed at the two teddy bears that manik had gifted her last night. Manik just mouthed an 'oh'.

Canteen

Manik dropped nandini at her home to freshen up and change and later picked her up for college. Now the group of friends was sitting in the college canteen and chilling together.

Mukti: choti I got to know ki kal you and manik celebrated the valentines day together. So how was it?

She asked the question of the hour. Everyone was eager to know about it.

Nandini: it was just awesome and I loved it so much. We had our best friends time after so long! Hai na manik?

Manik just nodded meekly. He was a little upset to hear best friends from her mouth but covered it up.

Navya*sadly* : bas only vest friends?

Nandini: ya kyu? Did I say something wrong navya?

Aryaman: are nahi toh....we all know that you guys are just best friends nai?
He asked and nandini nodded awkwardly. She was confused if they were only best friends. She would very easily cover it in front of others but only her inner self knew what battle of confusions was she fighting within her.

Cabir: vaise mukti valentines toh tune bhi celebrate kiya na toh tu bata how was it?

Alia*excitedly*: ha yes mukti even i wanna know

Mukti gave a look to Cabir saying 'I'll see you later' and started narrating her valentines experience.

Mukti: so Abhi here asked me out in the canteen as you all know and then from there he surprised me by taking me to my favourite amusement park as he knew how much I love rides and guys you know what? He booked the entire park for ourselves and it was so awesome!!
She said the last part beaming with happiness. Nandini just gaped at her brother like he was some alien.

Nandini: Bhai when did you become so romantic?

Abhi: baby doll jab mukti saath hoti hai na toh main khud romantic ho jata hu...you know effects of having such a hot and beautiful girlfriend (winks)

Manik: that was so cheesy bro

Abhi*chuckles*: I know

Mukti: aye joker tune apni madhubala ko kaise surprise kiya? Navya batao na

Navya*giggling*: Kal usne hume canteen me pucha tha na uske baad uski mom ka call aaya and he had to go. Hum thoda upset the but then it was his mom toh humne ise jaane diya fir ek ghante baad humare ghar ki ghanti baji and I open the door to find Doctor Premlal standing at my doorstep

All except Cabir *confused*: Doctor Premlal? Vo kaun hai?

Navya*laughing*: hum batate hai

Cabir pleaded her to not speak but she continued and Cabir face palmed.
