MaNan: It all started with a lie

F.R.I.E.N.D.S- The Family We Choose (A)

Post jamming everyone were really tired and decided to get back to their respective homes to rest. Nandini was about to stop them as previously decided by her and manik so as to inform them about their relationship status but manik stopped her. Nandini did not question him and instead made an excuse to stay in college saying she had some work in the library and manik knowing her intention, offered to stay back and drop her later. The rest agreed and left leaving behind manik and nandini who settled themselves at the staircase behind the music wing once fab 4, navya, Abhi, aryaman and maddy left.

Manik and nandini were seated on the top stairs with their hands entwined and nandini's head resting on Manik's shoulder. The atmosphere was eerily silent so sighing nandini decided to break the ice by initiating the conversation.

Nandini: manik why did you stop me today? Humne decide kiya tha na that we will tell them about us today

Manik tightened his hold on her hand and replied.

Manik: yes I know but nandini everyone was really tired today and i did not want to exhaust them so let them rest, we will tell them tomorrow and tomorrow its friendships day too so it will be the perfect time to tell them

Nandini: and you think I will believe this manik...like seriously! Manik I know you too well for you to lie to me so now tell me the real reason behind all of this and NOW

Manik sighed helplessly and gave in.

Manik: its...its soha

Nandini*confused*: soha? Where did she come from in all of this?

Manik: voh today after I met you, you know right that soha was standing outside?

Nandini bobbed her head and manik continued.

Manik: ya...so after that we as in me and soha went to the jam room and then fab 5 started practicing...

Flashback

Fab 5 jam room

Once fab 5 were done with their practice, they began discussing about the song and the tunes when soha decided to open her big fat mouth and intervened their conversation.

Soha: wow manik....it was so mesmerizing

Manik*smiles fakely*: er...thanks

Soha: you know what...you should actually start signing solo albums I mean you are so talented and totally perfect for it

Dhruv: look soha fab 5 ka koi bhi member kabhi akela perform nahi karta

Mukti: ya exactly. Dhruv is right...agar hum perform karenge toh only as fab 5, a band

Soha*rolls eyes*: oh please mukti I don't need to listen this from you and dhruv I don't think you have any right to speak in here, tum sirf ek side guitarist ho and your music is appreciated only because of manik

Soha's words really hurt Dhruv somewhere down the line but he ignored it. Manik have had enough of soha's bullshit, his patience had worn off and he yelled angrily.

Manik: ENOUGH SOHA! You are no one to decide for me and my carrier and rahi baat fab 5 ki toh NO ONE, NOT EVEN YOU has the right to insult any member and get this straight in your head or I am warning you, you will face my worst side Ms. SOHA KHURANA

Soha went mum after Manik's warning and left the jam room immediately feeling insulted.

End of flashback

Manik: so yeh sab hua aaj. (Sighs) If this is only the first day of soha being our manager then I don't know ki aage kya hoga

He said running a hand through his hair in frustration.

Nandini: manik relax....fab 5 itna weak nahi hai ki voh soha use tod sake....you guys are much much stronger than that (cups his face) ya? Don't worry...it will be just fine. Hey!(beams) by the way you remember kal kya hai?

Manik: nandini maine tumhe abhi toh bataya tha na...kal friendships day hai

Nandini: ha toh why not make it special for our friends...I mean ki lets divert their minds from this soha mess...lets do something unique and different. What say?

Manik*confused*: but what different?

Nandini: um....different as in lets show them what they mean to us, that how much they matter in our lives

Manik: but kaise????

Nandini: lets go to your place and waha jake kuch sochte hai ok?

Manik: cool

Next day (Friendship day)

Space academy

Fab 5 jam room

Cabir: wow am early! Baaki sab kaha reh gaye? Manik ne aaj hume itna jaldi kyu bulaya?

Cabir was pondering over these thoughts and waiting for others to come when he noticed the entire room decorated with streamers, fab 5 banners, their pictures and various posters on friendship which made him frown in confusion.

Cabir: yeh decoration kisne kiya hoga?

He thought when alia and dhruv entered in.

Alia/dhruv: hey Cabir

Cabir: I must have known...yeh sab tumne kiya na alia friebdship day ke liye

Alia: Maine? Nahi Cabir....main toh subeh se dhruv ke saath hu

Dhruv: she's right Cabir....yeh alia ne nahi kiya

Cabir: toh fir kisne?....wait! Mukti!

Mukti*entering in*: mukti kya Cabir?

Cabir: mukti waah I am impressed huh...bohot acha decorate kiya hai tune jam room ko

Mukti: what? Cabir tu pagal ho gaya hai kya? Do you think main yeh sab kar sakti hu...no ways! Maine yeh nahi kiya

Cabir: oh toh fir pakka humare kisi fan ne kiya hoga...but voh fan hai kaun?

"Yeh hai voh fan" they heard someone speak.

Everyone turned around to find manik standing at the door with a big grin on his face.

Cabir: tune? No no manik baba humse jhooth bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai

Manik: nahi seriously Cabir yeh maine kiya hai...I am the biggest fan of fab 5

Cabir: manik you are not getting me...I mean this is all very sweet. Ha tu bhi sweet ho sakta hai and ofcourse you are our fan but this, this is so not you....yeh kaam pakka nandini ka hai

Manik: nahi Cabir this is done by me....only me. Come on guys....main agar kabhi kuch dikhata nahi....express nahi karta toh that doesn't mean that you guys don't matter to me. Fab 5 is my family, my dream and you guys mean alot to me bas isliye small gesture from my side. HAPPY FRIENDSHIPS DAY guys!!

Saying so he forwarded both his palms revealing five star shaped guitar keychains with fab 5 engraved on it along with their group photo.

Alia: wow manik I never knew you were so creative

Mukti: alia tujhe kya...hum me se kisi ko bhi nahi pata tha

Cabir: happy friendship day Bhai

Cabir went forward to take one keychain and wished manik, taking him in a hug which was followed by the rest and it slowly turned out to be a group hug.
