The Contract (Part 1)

Maddy was busy tickling nandini and nandini was doubling over with laughter and trying to stop his assaults at the same time and finally maddy gave in.

Maddy: next time don't you dare support navya

Nandini just quietly nodded, still overcoming from all the tickling she had suffered.

Navya: sadu kahika!

Maddy*side hugging navya*: ab kya karu Ms. Muchmuch main toh aisa hi hu

He said bragging himself to which navya just rolled her eyes.

Maddy: uh so munchkin...

He said moving towards nandini but before he could touch her, manik pulled her close to him making nandini gasp and others surprise.

Maddy: whoa dude why are you pulling her this way? She will get hurt

He said in a calm yet stern tone.

Manik: because.....ya because I wanted to give her something

Nandini*excited*: really manik? Ek aur gift?

Manik*smiles*: yup! Its your 18th birthday na toh I don't think that only one gift is enough and vaise bhi we are celebrating your birthday together after 10 long years so I had to make it up for it na

He said looking towards nandini who beamed.

Nandini: Thankyouuu mani!!!

Aryaman: mani?

Abhi: ha voh that's what nandini used to call manik in childhood but aaj achanak after so many years?

He questioned nandini being confused.

Manik: ha voh valentines day....us din she called me mani so isliye I asked her to call me with this name only and finally she did it

Alia: aww you two are so cute

Manik and nandini passed her a smile in return.

Cabir: manik tune hume toh iss surprise ke bare me kuch bhi nahi bataya

Manik: ha voh I wanted it to remain a surprise na isliye

Dhruv: buddy lekin aisa kya special laya hai tu?

Mukti: ha manik batana

Navya: manik ab bata bhi do

Manik: guys do you understand the meaning of surprise?

Mukti: oh right!

Manik: right!
He said in disbelief.

Abhi: now lets go inside....maddy ko college bhi toh dikhani hai na

Nandini: ya and maddy you are going to love it

Maddy: lets see munchkin

Navya: maddy yeh academy na is really very beautiful and not to forget the best music academy in India

Maddy: oh is it?

Nandini: ha and yeh academy na nyoni mom ki hai

Maddy*confused*: nyoni mom? Voh kaun hai?

Navya: manik ki mom aur iss college ki trustee

As soon as navya completed manik had an amused look on his face as he had never expected navya to say such things but anyway smiled.

They entered the college with manik and nandini walking side by side, manik holding nandini's waist. Maddy was a bit surprised watching then walking like that but did not ask any questions. Everything was usual. Manik had his all time famous smirk on his face like always, nandini carried her cute smile with some much needed attitude and the others walking beside them spreading their aura all around with a new member this time, maddy who was currently the topic of gossip but there was one more thing different other than maddy and that was Manik's behaviour. He was acting all possessive with nandini. For others it might be normal but nandini knew her possessive best friend better than anyone else.
