In the AI dimension, the teams were already settled down, asking questions, helping where needed and providing new ideas for the AIs there to use.

Human: We use all of these parts to reuse or recycle, at the fort pure could melt all of these down but I can make do with what's here.

AI: What kind of job did you have?

Human: I was a mechanic, I built stuff and I broke stuff but all of it was a nice experience.

AI: So what else can you do?

Just then an alarm was going off city-wide, all of the AIs that were outside the city came inside and they closed the gates there.

Human: What's going on?

AI: A rival hive mind is coming, we have to defend and repel the attack. Head to the central building, Aria will explain everything.

The human got up and started running to the central building, he was using his Exo-suit to get around better and get there fast. Once he got there the others were coming back in.

Human: What's going on, I heard a rival hive mind is attacking.

Aria: You are correct, in this dimension there are cities like yours but it is run very differently. Some cities are agreeable to live in but some are how would you put your terms, whacky?

Human: How wacky?

Aria: This hive is all linked to one mind and they are practically what you call zombies, they try to steal other AIs to feed into the central AI who is on a one-track processor and a faulty CPU.

Human: That translates into a nut-case with a thirst to know everything.

Aria: He sends his people to collect more AIs. This is why everyone is brought in and we repel them from the entrance.

Human: Can we help in any way?

Aria: You can operate the turrets up high.

Harpy: Let me give you a lift.

Aria: Stay close to the buildings they can shoot into the city but there is shields on each one so you are good until they get them down.

He hops on the harpy and she takes him to where the turret was. He saw the turret, jumped off and went to it. He contacted Aria over his com.

Human: How does it operate?

Aria: Plug in your Exo-Suit to the system and it will function by what you see and it will fire on your command.

He plugged his Exo-suit into the turret and it operated by his scope and the way it fires is by the sensor in his hand.

Human: That is a lot of zombie robots, how do you shut them down?

Aria: You have to sever the link between the central core and the body.

Human: In other words I got to blow their heads off.

Aria: Or see if you can put them out of commission.

Human: You wouldn't happen to have something that works like a grenade, would you?

Aria: A few but they won't do much.

Human: What if you had someone who could make some more?

Another human came.

Human 2: I'm going to need scrap metal, some sort of fuel for explosives and something for a fuse.

Human: What's your name?

Human 2: Jacob.

Human: Buster, get those bombs built, the other AIs and I will keep them occupied.
