A ghost in the machine

Back in the normal dimension, all of the patients from the first two scientists woke up and were active. The doctor was taking them through therapy with their new parts. One of them was doing a little swimming to get used their new weight in a shallow pool. The mechanics for all of their mechanical parts are all protected from any hazard like water and dirt but your sense of touch is still tied in.

Doctor: Very good Derek, you are improving greatly, you will be able to have full functionality in a matter of days.

Derek: Thank you doctor.

Doctor: You can take a little rest time around the fort but don't hurt your new arm.

Derek: All right.

Derek got up and was walking around with his mechanical left arm. He saw everyone working and talking, Derek headed to the harbor to see the Missouri Mark II leaving to do patrol. Two jets were taking off on the runway and he saw them circle around the fort. Just then he saw something swimming in the water. He came close to the water and he saw a fin in the water. He came down to the lower deck and it was coming closer. Derek put his head under the water and he saw the other mermaid. The mermaid turned around and saw him. She came to him and pushed him back to the surface.

Mermaid: You know you can't breathe underwater right?

Derek: Yeah, but I was wondering what was that in the water.

Mermaid: Now that you know, what are you going to do?

Derek: I don't know; maybe get to know all of you a bit better since I was in therapy.

Mermaid: Therapy?

Derek: My arm got severed and I had to learn how to use it again with my new mechanical arm.

The Mermaid sees his mechanical arm.

Mermaid: Does it still work as normal?

Derek: Yeah.

Mermaid: Would you like to talk some more?

Derek: Why not, you can meet me at the pool inside.

Mermaid: How about a shortcut?

Derek: How?

Mermaid: How good can you hold your breath?

Derek: Pretty good, why?

Mermaid: Hold onto me.

Derek: Ok?

Derek reached out his hands and the Mermaid grabbed him and took him quickly inside to the pool. She breached the water and put him on the side.

Derek: -panting- Whoa, that was very fast!

Mermaid: Sorry if I scared you about that.

Derek: It's ok, what can I call you?

Mermaid: You can call me Madeline.

Madeline is a mermaid that has grey scales, a diamond necklace, long black hair and brown eyes. Madeline gets up and sits down on the side with her tail in the water, both of them start talking. Meanwhile everything else was going smooth until an emergency came in.

Mima: Pure, you are requested for this emergency.

Pure: Is it Azura?

Mima: No, but this is something delicate.

Pure: Give me the coordinates.

Pure kisses Pure Jr. and Auriella on the forehead and he leaves the fort. The location was the US and it was pointing to an old house. He touched down and a police car was there with a policeman waiting for Pure. Pure touched down and turned back to normal. He walked toward the policeman and they talked. The old house was looking like it was being refurbished.
