A Brand New Life

In the normal dimension, in the forest Hiro was waking up for the first time in his new bed. Hiro was happy he had a bed of his own; he got up to find food and drink on the table. He got up and found a note on the table.

Li: "Morning Hiro, we left you breakfast on the table, we are heading out to get some new clothes for you and we will be back soon. You can look around the forest if you like to, everyone and everything is friendly, even the bees."

Hiro put down the note, ate breakfast and got a shower; once he was dressed he came out and saw the drone on the table too. He nudged it and it woke up. It went to him, went around him and nudged him like a pet. Hiro went out and the drone followed. Hiro came outside and it was absolutely stunning in the forest, he went down the tree and was looking around. He saw the people and drones working in the forest, Violet came above him and touched down, Hiro was afraid but she rubbed his head gently.

It was just like the note said, everyone was friendly, Violet let off her hand and went back around the forest with her bees. Hiro walked around and saw the people with their tattoos. Hiro was looking around the forest, he went to the beehives and the bees came and gave him a piece of honey, he went to the orchard, the fields and the fish farm. He saw Sayuri taking care of the water plants. She was walking on water and came over to the bridge. He came close and she smiled and he smiled too. Sayuri went back to the plants and Hiro went to the greenhouses and they were still operating.

Hiro saw white clouds above him that were thick and some of them were raining over the plants and trees in there. Hiro was puzzled as to how clouds were this low and still working; he was going through the greenhouse until he saw someone. She had on a small tiara, a leg bracelet that looked like a root. He was coming towards her tapped her shoulder.

She saw him and he saw her, she had purple eyes and black hair, it was the other dryad that came to the forest. She chose her place as the greenhouse and got the power of weather manipulation to better manage the greenhouses.

Dryad: Hi.

Hiro waved his hand; the dryad sees his arm missing.

Dryad: What happened to your arm?

Hiro put his hand on his throat meaning he couldn't speak.

Dryad: Oh, you can't talk?

Hiro shakes no.

Dryad: Ok, well my name is Kyla, I am a dryad.

Hiro knew what a dryad was but he didn't know where she came from.

Kyla: Oh, you weren't part of what was going on, I can bring you up to speed if you want.

Hiro and the dryad sat down on the ground and she was talking to him and he responded by saying, yes, no or had a confused face so that she could explain things better. She placed a set of dirt down and allowed him to write his name. She was telling him how she came here, what was going on and what is happening now.

Kyla: And that is pretty much as to what I know.

Hiro was amazed as to what was happened while he was trying to survive. Just then Li was calling for him.

Li: Hiro, you in here?!

Li hears Hiro and he gets up, he helps Kyla up with his one arm. He heads to the entrance and sees Li there.

Li: Hey Hiro, thought you would go looking around after we left, I brought some clothes and some treats back from the city.

Hiro was curious.

Li: Oh, you don't know where we are exactly.

Kyla: Sorry, that slipped my mind.

Li: We are in the forests of Brazil, Hiro. This forest is our home; Miguel is the person in charge.
