Off the grindstone

In the normal dimension, on a weekend, Irvine and Lexa were waking up at Andre and Aylia's house. Irvine was keeping watch; Lexa was sleeping on the couch with her assault rifle next to her and her knife in her hand. Irvine's ears were scanning everything in his sleep like a satellite spinning in all directions.

Lexa got up and saw he was still asleep but his ears were still working. She grabbed her assault rifle and checked it and her side arm. Once that was done she contacted the fort.

Lexa: This is Lexa reporting in.

Mima: Yes Lexa, how are things there?

Lexa: All quiet.

Mima: How are Andre, Aylia, Leslie and their parents?

Lexa gets up and checks on them, she finds Andre, Leslie and Aylia sleeping together with Aylia possessing Leslie but they were partly separated.

Lexa: The kids are ok.

Mima: And the parents?

Lexa checks on the parents and they were ok, Sonya was in the guest room with a mini-drone hovering, keeping her safe while Andre's parents were in the master bedroom sleeping as well with the mini-drones guarding them. All of them had the Medusas on them so that they would have on armor.

Lexa: All safe and sound, will update you later.

Mima: Roger that.

Lexa: How is the upgrade coming?

Mima: Pure just finished the base of the fort, over and under.

Lexa: That's good, over and out.

Lexa got off the com. and went back to guarding the house; back at the fort Pure had finished unplugging himself from the hologram room. He was really tired but could still get up on his own.

Pure: You got the nanites Seth?

Seth: Yup, go ahead and rest, we got the rest from here.

Pure went from the hologram room to his room where Alisha, Carolina, Pure Jr. and Auriella were waiting on him with some food.

Pure: -grunts- Hello my lovelies.

Pure's armor and weapons come off of him and go to his armor stand.

Alisha: Hey, how did the building go?

Pure: Long and stressful but worth it.

Pure sat down in the bed and took the food to get something to eat.

Pure: How did things go with Rick and the Specters?

Carolina: Found some blueprints for some nasty things in some hidden labs, respected countries took the lead on them and shut them down.

Pure: Anyone else hurt?

Alisha: Thankfully not.

Pure: At least a bit of good news. How are the others?

Carolina: Stabilizing and getting better.

Pure: And how are you four?

Alisha: We are good, the kids missed you.

Pure Jr. and Auriella went to Pure.

Pure: I knew they would.

Pure had enough to eat then he used his tails to put the food to a side and grab all four of them. Alisha and Carolina's armor and weapons came off of them and went to their armor stands.

Pure: But I miss all of you.

Pure got up and took them to the bathroom where he set them down and drew up a bath and made sure it was warm. All of them took off their clothes and went into the water. Pure held them with his arms and tails while they relaxed in the water. Pure kissed the children on the forehead and kissed Alisha and Carolina. They relaxed in the tub for a while then they got out of it.
