Evolution from the Ashes of Extinction: Re-evolution

First Dungeon

In the monster dimension, the team heading to the east was past Spider City with extra supplies and on route to the sea. The western team was cutting through the forest, they were going across the path until an alert in Cyber's systems.

Cyber: Heads up everyone.

Nick: What is it?

Cyber: I was going through the bounties and marking down last known locations and escape routes and I got something.

Cyber pulls out the map and he shows a spot.

Cyber: There is an abandoned structure criminals like to hide out nearby and I was looking through what was stolen nearby.

Cyber pulls out the book and points to the list of things that were missing.

Nick: Anyone dangerous on those lists?

Cyber: Only, one the rest are small bits, his name is Alton, he is a Minotaur.

Nick: One of the big ones that we saw back home?

Cyber: No, he is still young and not that big but the strength is still there

Siri: How far off is the place?

Cyber: Quarter of a mile north-west of the path.

Nick: Ok, let's be cautious about this and move in quietly, mark the road so that we can come back

Cyber marks the road and they move silently into the forest. Siri and Wilco traverse the trees silently, keeping an eye out for enemies and traps, there were a few of each and they disarmed them and knocked out the enemies ahead by either coming behind them and hitting them in the head to knock them out or Siri using a dart and knocking them out. Once they got to the entrance it was clear to go in.

Nick: Everyone keep awareness in here, there may be traps or pits in here we don't know about.

Siri scanned the area and was looking for uneven parts of the floor or ceiling. Nick threw stones in front of him to see if any of the traps would trigger and give it away. The path was lit but they were still keeping an eye out for surprises. The whole place was a maze and they were clearing it out piece by piece, they found various treasures in chests and disarming traps. Once they cleaned out the entire maze, all of them stopped at a giant door.

Wilco: This must be the place.

All six of them pushed the door open with three on each door. Once the door was open they readied themselves. It was a dark room where they couldn't see anything.

Nick: Penny, some light please.

Since Penny is a mage she has been learning magic spells but she has to keep on gloves so she doesn't get affected by the temperature or blowback but she is getting used to it bit by bit. Penny sent the fireball to the middle of the room and they could see a team of different monsters from, raccoon, rats, Minotaur, Nekos to Lamia and Arachne ready to fight.

Nick: Well, this is going to take a while.

Siri and Cyber had installed a portable translator in their systems so that whatever they say the team could understand. The translation would be transmitted to their headphones. Alton spoke to them and the translator worked on them.

Alton: So, this is part of the team that came from other dimensions, we were expecting them a lot stronger.

Wilco: Is this guy intimidating us?

Nick: Yup, and I hate it when they do that.

Siri: Easy boys, we got to take these guys in.

Wilco: How, we are outnumbered here.
