Elwin came and told Sophie it was only a fracture. He wrapped a thinner cast around her ankle.
After Elwin left.
"I'm gonna go change." Sophie said sleepily as she tried to get up.
"Hold on." Keefe stopped her. He got up and picked Sophie up.
"Oh thanks." Sophie mumbled tiredly. He took her to her closet and set her down on the couch.
She lied down onto the couch and pulled the decorative plush blanket over her.
"Sophie. You have to change." Keefe told her as she closed her eyes.
"It's fine." She yawned.
"Should I...should...should I change you?" Keefe fidgeted with his shirt.
"Sure." Sophie said softly, falling asleep.
Keefe went to where he knew his best friend kept her pjs. He walked to the far right hanging rack where her pjs were. There were clothing racks on the left side of the room too. And behind the shelves on the right and left where more shelves, in a row. In the middle was an isle. The isle went to the other end of the room where the far wall was full of shoes.
Keefe grabbed her warm red pjs. He changed her swiftly and by the time he was done she was asleep.
He gently picked her up and carried Sophie to her bed.
Keefe pulled back Sophie's maroon silk blanket and lied her down gently on the soft white bed. He pulled the blanket to her shoulders. Keefe leant over and gently shifted her silky blonde hair off of her cheek. Keefe changed his clothes to shorts and a cotton shirt and lied down in Sophie's bed on the pillow beside hers. He faced her, lying straight but slanted towards her.
Keefe put his right hand under his right cheek on the pillow and watched her sleep peacefully. Then as it got colder, because outside it was almost winter time, Sophie got cold. Keefe reached his arms out to wrap them around her and pull her into his chest. As she cuddled into his chest to soak in all his warmth he kept his arms around her protectively.
He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
In the morning Sophie woke to a low volume alarm going off on her nightstand next to her bed. She looked outside her wall of windows on her right. The white and glass doors were open halfway, leading out to a white and gold balcony overlooking Havenfield's animals and the rolling hills. Sophie watched the breeze wisp through the doors and push past the flowing thin drapes flying upwards. There was soft sunlight showering Sophie and keefe in bed.
Sophie turned to her left to face keefe. He was lying straight with his hands on top of his stomach. Sophie admired his wavvy blonde hair fall over his closed eyes as he shifted in his sleep to face her. Sophie held his face and gently touched her thumb to his partly open, soft pink lips.
When she couldn't resist herself any longer Sophie leaned closer and pressed her lips against his gently. She kissed him softly before pulling away slowly.
Then she felt his hand clasp around hers. She watched as he weaved his fingers with hers. Sophie looked up to see keefe open his eyes and look at her.
Sophie blushed as she stared into his clear ice blue eyes, as if she would fall in and never surface again.
Keefe smirked at her gently before wrapped his arms around her lower waist and pulling her closer delicately, as if she was fragile and would break. He reached up with one hand and held her cheek as he leant down and kissed her softly.
She pulled away at last. "Good morning." She whispered.
"If I'd knew you'd wake me up like that I would've slept over sooner." He smirked.
