"Hello." I greet Ryan with a brief hug before turning to my mother. "Hey mom."
She pulls me in for a loving hug which makes me smile as I pull her closer. The women in the audience express their adoration for us as we pull away from eachother.
"You look beautiful." My mom whispers before turning to face the audience. "Even though we don't keep it a secret, a lot of people don't know that I have two children from my previous marriage. Amerie is my youngest daughter and I know that we don't really look a like but I assure you that she is mine."
We laugh at her words as we take our seats.
"It's good to have you here." Ryan says and I adjust my jacket as I feel his eyes drift to my chest. I decide not to call him out because this is my mothers workplace and I don't want to start shit knowing that Joe is backstage.
"It's great to be here." I smile at the audience who cheer.
