♡ Part 9: mean boy ♡

NEXT DAY (october 11th)

TO SAKURA

as she was on her way to school, she couldn't help but think about how much her life had changed by becoming a certain someones friend. it was quite an amusing journey for her. though she couldn't come to think of how her world would've been if he was being nice without trying to be mean at the same time. 

a smile landed on herself as she thought about it. 

naruto: sakura-chan!

he quickly ran up to her and he seemed happier than usual

sakura: hey naruto

naruto: -smiling- sakura look at what i got

he took his bag out and the pinkette watched him dig through his somewhat empty backpack for whatever it was and frankly, she seemed curious on what it was that made her best friend really excited and happy

naruto: look!

he took out a cup or ramen and a thermos. her wide smiled slowly faded away as she chuckled under her breath

sakura: really? ramen

naruto: this is the best thing that i've gotten all week.... aside from practicing hockey with you. look it's limited edition too!

sakura: i can see naruto, and yeah hockey has been fun so far

naruto: except or the fact that you and sasuke keep body checking each other

sakura: he kind of deserves it, he's pretty mean to me

naruto looked at her with a questioning look

naruto: you guys seem to be hitting it off

sakura: other than the fact every time i see him, he has something mean to say to me

naruto: that's sasuke for you, and have you talked to him after practice yesterday?

sakura: not after we walked home, why?

naruto: i called him a few times but her never picked up

sakura didn't know what to think or say. he seemed fine while walking home so this seemed a bit off

sakura: i'm sure he's fine

they walked the rest of the way laughing and talking. sakura really enjoyed being with naruto, he is her best friend after all but he always seems to make her smile. it's different with him than it is with others.... not even with sasuke

they finally got to school and saw shikamaru standing there alone

shikamaru noticed them and walked towards them

shikamaru: is there a reason why sasuke bailed on me this morning?

naruto: what do you mean

shikamaru: he was gonna walk with me this morning but all of a sudden he bailed saying that he couldn't

sakura looked down and felt herself begin to worry. it didn't seem like him to bail like that, but then again, she doubts that he would tell her anything. they've only started talking recently

shikamaru: do you know anything sakura?

she looked up a bit surprised

sakura: oh um n-no

after some time, class started and they started working. sakura looked around to see if sasuke was around but he wasn't. 

kakashi: does anyone know where sasuke is?
