♡ Part 16: look up ♡

ino : where were you?

sakura: i was just home y'know

ino: yeah ok but wh-- sakura?

sakura looked down

sakura: sasuke... he

ino: now that you bring up sasuke, he was here for our first class but then he skipped our second and third... so did naruto and he was acting weird

sakura: ......

hinata: you were going to say s-something

sakura: h-he kissed me

the girls eyes widened although for different reasons. ino's eyes widened because she was happy that sakura had her first kiss, but hinatas eyes widened because she remembered what sakura told them way before.

ino: omg that's great!

hinata: i-ino... her parents

ino stood there confused and then she remembered

ino: oh.... my god sakura

she quickly hugged her knowing that this had a serious affect on her. they went to the living room and talked to her about all of this. it was so much for the three of them. sakura wasn't ready at all but what makes it worse is that.... she didn't completely hate it, and she felt guilty about that.

after some time, kakashi came back. the girls got up to say goodbye and then they finally left.

kakashi: you're coming to school tomorrow right?

sakura: y-yeah

kakashi smiled and sat down beside the pinkette. they ended up spending the rest of the day together, knowing that he was trying to make her feel better. before they knew it, they had both fell asleep on the couch. it was around 10pm. yes, they spent all that time together. it's how close they are and kakashi wanted to remind her that she can tell him anything, that he's always here for her. he wanted to ensure her that he would never leave her when he needs her the most.

THE NEXT DAY ( October 15th)

sakura woke up with a mini blanket on her and saw kakashi cooking. 

kakashi: wake up you have to get ready for school

she nodded and started getting ready, once she finished she came down to eat the food kakashi prepared for her. they ate breakfast together but then she decided it was time for her to leave

sakura: bye kakashi

kakashi smiled under his mask and she left.

on her way to school, all she could hear was her own footsteps. 

'look up..'

she looked up to see how beautiful her surroundings appeared to her. the orange, yellow and red leaves on the floor and trees and slowly being blown away by the wind. she smiled to herself, but she then looked down and kept walking. she got to school and noticed no one came yet. she stood by the fence and leaned against it. she observed the school that made her realize many things. the school that made her experience many things. 

while thinking, she hadn't realized who was walking towards her. but the person stopped and stared at her.

'........'

they didn't know what they would say or think, but they went to the pinkette anyways. 

she stood there still unaware of who was there

sasuke: sakura...

she looked at him and saw him standing before her. he walked closer to her and leaned against the fence as well. she notice he had some pocky in his hand but she then looked back down

sasuke: take some

he held the pocky out to her and she took two sticks. 

sakura: thank you

sasuke nodded his head and looked around

'look up sakura... look up'

she looked up and notice he was already staring at her

sasuke: y'know..... i remember when we were younger, we weren't friends but i remember you and naruto jumping into the piles of leaves during this time of year. i was kind of jealous of naruto because he was friends with everyone...

she looked at him and noticed that he admitted something

sasuke: but, i'm finally catching up..... i'm finally making friends. i never knew there were people who actually wanted to be my friend. but.... i ruined the most important one to me

sasuke turned to face her and she looked up at him

sasuke: i'm sorry sakura

sakura stared at him as he did the same. silence filled the air and she could tell that he was being genuine. She gently smiled and gave him the forgiving look. all the anxiousness she had for the past few days went away along the the breeze that grazed both of them

sakura: thank you sasuke

she held out her fist to him and they fist bumped. 

they finally got through it and then things started returning back to normal. they started talking, joking and making fun of each other like how they always do. but little did they know that someone was watching from afar and they felt their heart ache at the sight of them. they knew something was going on between... it wasn't a normal friendship. they seemed like they were both trying to figure it out, both trying to figure out where this friendship will take them

after awhile, more of their friends started showing up and finally the bell rang. they all headed to their homeroom class to see their sensei has yet to arrive

sasuke: that damn kakashi-sensei

naruto: sakura-chan, don't forget about practice later on today

she grinned and looked at her best friend

sakura: of course naruto

sasuke sat behind them and almost smiled but he rested his hands in front of his lips so that no one notices. eventually, kakashi came and started the class. he looked towards sasuke to see him smiling. he mouthed to his sensei:

"thank you"

and kakashi smiled and already knew why. but then and there sakura turned around and started talking to sasuke. he watched the two of them talk while naruto continuously tried making them quiet. it was quite a scene for him to watch, but he was happy that they made it through, but he was well aware that their friendship will bring them many obstacles. 

AFTER SCHOOL

sasuke was with naruto and sakura and waited for them. they took their leave

naruto: so you guys are good now right

sasu/saku: right

sakura: although he should be prepared to get body checked by shikamaru today

sasuke: you littl--

karin: sasuke!

the three of them turned around to see the red haired girl running towards them. she stopped behind them and made contact with the blonde, raven, and pink haired trio.

karin: can i talk to you sasuke

naruto: cousin karin.... he has practice

sasuke hadn't talked to karin in awhile and so he decided to go to her

sasuke: tell coach i'll be there soon

they nodded their heads and continued

karin: let's go somewhere a bit more private

he nodded his head and they walked towards the ending of the hall where no one was
