♡ Part 25: someones fault ♡

TO SAKURA

it was time to get to the arena as they were supposed to be there  by 6pm. they took a school bus to the arena because this arena was a bit further than the one that they usually go to. once they got there, they all got ready and they looked at the other team. 

naruto: woah. they look pretty good

raikage: ah kakashi hatake, it's been awhile

they hugged and talked for a bit. 

kakashi: this is the coach of the land of thunders hockey team, raikage

they greeted the other teams coach and they all sat at the little penalty box were the team was supposed to be at.

6:45

the audience started coming in and they all saw familiar faces. practically their whole junior grade and the seniors from their school came and so did family. the players went to their families to say hi. kakashi stood next to each other as they were they only 'family' for each other.

sakura: oh i'm going to say hi narutos parents

kakashi nodded his head and she headed towards them.

kushina: you listen here naruto, you better give it your all y'know

naruto hugged his mother

minato: we'll be watching 

naruto: thanks dad, mom

sakura walked to them and his parents saw her and smiled

kushina: sakura, you're here!

she gave the pinkette the hug and so did minato

sakura: i'm happy you guys made it

kushina: trust me, naruto talked about this game so much we just had to be here y'know. 

the 4 of them talked for bit as they waited for their coach to call them back to the penalty box.

TO SASUKE

he looked around for itachi but there was no sign of him. he tried calling him but he didn't pick up. he started to get worried but then, his elder brother called.

ON THE PHONE

sasuke: where are you itachi

itachi: sasuke forgive me. izumi is really sick and there was no other person to take care of her. 

izumi, itachi's girlfriend.

sasuke: hmph

END PHONE CALL

he put his phone away and didn't want to look at it anymore. he could've called his uncle obito or his cousin shisui but at this point, he lost all hope in his family members. 

he walked back to the penalty box with his head dropped down. he saw everyone with their families and it just disappointed him even more. his brother is his only close family left, how could he do this to him on a day so important to him.

he sat down alone and kakashi went beside him

kakashi: itachi didn't come?

sasuke: ....

kakashi: well, i'm here and so are your friends. 

sasuke: he promised me.... hmph whatever

kakashi: it--

the other players came in and he lost his chance to talk to sasuke. sakura went to sasuke and sat beside him but he didn't even look at her

sakura: sasuke? are you ok--

the game started and the commentary began. 

kakashi: okay so our first forwards will be shikamaru, suigetsu and choj, neji and lee as defense and finally kiba as goalie. 

they got into the rink and the game started. the cheers and harsh game play began and sakura couldn't believe her eyes. it was like they all got better over night. not only that, the other team was amazing. it was a really intense game

sakura: sasuke....

he looked at her and noticed she seemed a bit worried about him. His gaze slowly trailed back infront of himself to watch the others play. He hated the fact that his only family, couldn't be there for him. 

sakura: are you okay?

sasuke: itachi... didn't come

sakura looked at him and she could tell he was sad. she put her hand on his shoulder to let him know that she is here. 

the game continued and both teams scored 2 points. sasuke had already played once but he just didn't seem like he was in the moment. 

kakashi: okay, now sasuke, naruto and suigetsu as forwards, lee and sasori as defense and sai as goalie... go

the 6 of them got onto the rink and began playing

sakura: yeah naruto! yeah sasuke!

she cheered on for her team mates although she noticed something odd. sasori and sasuke kept bumping into each other. shikamaru and kakashi had noticed aswell

shikamaru: coach, you should take one of them off the rink

kakashi: i was thinking the same thing

sakura: but kakashi-sensei, they both were looking forward for this

TO SASUKE

he played his best and he kept getting bumped into sasori. though the thing is, he wasn't the one who was initiating it. sasori kept getting himself into his way although he just shrugged it all off. this is what he lives for, he wasn't going to let someone like sasori take that away from him. and so he still tried his best

although while playing, the other team made a shot. sasori looked at sasuke with an emotionless face, although his eyes said something else... anger perhaps

sasori: this is your fault sasuke. we're losing the game, and i'm losing her because of you

sasuke looked at sasori as he tried to comprehend what he just said

sasuke: what did you say

naruto: sasuke c'mon

sakura: w-what's going on

sasori: this is all because of you!

he charged towards the raven haired boy and tackled him to the floor. the crowd gasps and muffled yells were coming from every corner of the arena. 

sasuke: get off m-me

the red head attacked with all his might and sasuke could feel the pain all over his body. the other members came to stop them and take them apart, but at this point, sasuke had enough and attacked him as well. but the red head wouldn't budge and neither would sasuke. sakura, shikamaru and kakashi quickly ran onto the ice to stop them. 

shikamaru: what a drag

he barged in to stop the boys but even with his strength he couldn't

sakura felt tears rush to her eyes as she watch them fight each other. she couldn't help but feel like it was her fault that they were fighting. 

kakashi looked over to sakura and a tear slid down her cheek. kakashi didn't want to see sakura cry or see the boys hurt and so he got involved
