♡ Part 103: positive ♡

TO SASUKE

all the players on each team fist bumped each other as a sign of friendship and unity, although konoha high's players couldn't keep their smiles in the whole time. once they finished their customs, all the players of konoha high headed onto the ice along with kakashi to receive their trophy. 

sakura stared from the outer rim of the rink as the boys and kakashi made their way to the middle of the rink. 

sasuke: ....

he turned around and held a hand out to his girlfriend

sasuke: you should come too

the pinkette waved a nervous hand as she gave a closed eye smile

sakura: no it's okay, i didn't do anything for your team's win. 

sasuke stopped for a moment

'...my team?'

he smirked

sasuke: come here

he grabbed her hand and pulled her onto the rink with him. they were on ice and sakura didn't have her skates on for obvious reasons ─ and so as she slipped for a few seconds, sasuke took a firm hold onto her shoulders and held her up

sasuke: let's go, hmph

a faint smile crept onto sakura's lips

sakura: okay. 

the duo made their way to the middle of the rink alongside the others of their team and the 3 main hosts made their way to the winning team with a bounce to their steps and microphones in their hands

yahiko: after 3 exciting and wondrous hours, we finally have a winner! a round of applause for konoha high!

the cheers were loud from the crowd and everyone smiled

konan: to reward the team, we will give them a trophy to be proudly presented at their school and a check for the captain of their team! now then, may the captain of the team step forward to take the trophy and check please?

all eyes traveled towards sasuke and he was shocked. he didn't know of the fact that he'd get his own personal reward for being the winning captain─ and then everything clicked in his head. 

kakashi: make the most of this tournament and i expect you to do your best, sasuke. 

his sensei knew all along that this would happen, and that caused a bittersweet smile to form on his lips. how could he accept this alone when everyone who currently stood beside him helped him grow into the person he was?

naruto and shikamaru were his best friends. 

suigetsu was someone he saw as a close friend. 

he felt awkward around sai. 

hidan was too much for him to deal with.

kakashi was the father figure he never had for so many years

and sakura was the girl he loved who was the bright and blooming blossom of his quiet and colorless world. 

sasuke smirked as he pushed naruto, shikamaru, sakura and kakashi forward before he made his way to the hosts

sasuke: hmph

naruto: what are you doing teme?

sakura: sasuke?

shikamaru: what a drag

kakashi smiled under his mask

sasuke: take the check and trophy with me
