♡ Part 57: cloudy ♡

she couldn't show it although it crushed her more than he could think. he forced a smile onto his lips and looked straight into her eyes

naruto: but the stars are always there.... even if the clouds are there, the stars are still alive and still shining y'know

a sad smile landed on the pinkettes lips as she listened to narutos words. 

sakura: ..yeah

she looked down and naruto turned his back to her and started making his way inside 

naruto: we have a festival to go to right?

he turned his head back to her and smiled widely as he put his hand out to her. she smiled and joined hands with him

sakura: right!

naruto quickly put his black light weight jacket on and they called a taxi. they went inside and headed to the festival together. after awhile, they got to the festival. they stepped out of the taxi and sakura smiled widely as she looked around

sakura: c'mon naruto, let's go

she grabbed his wrist and dragged him to find the others. naruto secretly smiled feeling like a ton of weight was just dropped from him. 

they looked around and finally saw the rest. 

tenten: they're finally here

they all looked over to the duo and sighed in relief although shikamaru and kakashi looked at them a little oddly. something seemed different. they seemed different although neither of them could pinpoint what. shikamaru took a glance at kakashi who had the same expression as he did

sakura: sorry we're late

she awkwardly laughed as herself and naruto finally reached them

kushina: what took you two so long

naruto: i lost my socks

he smiled at sakura and she smiled back. although shikamaru frowned

'he was already wearing socks when i left..'

the very observant Nara boy thought to himself as narutos excuse was such a lie. he knew he couldn't bring it up in front of everyone but he knew he had to ask him later

ino: okay well let's finally enjoy the festival

she said happily and they all started enjoying their time at the festival. naruto and sakura stayed side by side but then naruto had to make a quick stop to the washroom and so sakura waited for him outside. kakashi walked towards her as she was finally alone

kakashi: you took a lot of time to get here 

he leaned against the wall and she looked down

sakura: yeah..

he raised an eyebrow at her and waited for her to continue. he knew her too well, probably better than everyone else and so he knew that she would tell him the real story soon

sakura: naruto..... he told me how he feels

the masked mans eyes widened. he didn't expect naruto to tell her. not for now at least

kakashi: i see, well he--

sakura: we kissed

at this point, kakashi choked over his own air which rarely ever happened. sakura quickly started patting his back

kakashi: you two, kissed?

she slowly nodded as he finally regained his composure. he ran his fingers through his silver locks as he sighed
