♡ Part 10: sense of guilt ♡

itachi opened the door that revealed one of sasuke's friends

itachi: naruto you always seem to come at the right times

naruto smiled widely

naruto: believe it! uh anyways, is sasuke home

itachi: he is, but he's really sick

naruto: is it okay if i see him?

itachi: i don't have a problem with it

naruto welcomed himself in and looked around. he went upstairs and heard an odd cough come from sasuke's room. he went inside and saw sasuke, looking the weakest he's ever looked in a while, on his bed laying down. he slowly opened his eyes to see his best friend standing before him.

naruto: you look really dumb, teme

sasuke: -mumbling- you always do... d-dobe

sasuke tried sitting up but he couldn't by himself, and so naruto helped him.

sasuke looked down at his fingers with the straight face he always has on him

naruto: you're probably not coming to the party tomorrow night right?

sasuke: tsk.... no

naruto: that's too bad... you could've hung out with sakura

sasuke: yeah right

naruto: should i invite her to come over, she's actually good with helping out when your sick. it's like her specialty.

sasuke: no naruto...

naruto looked at sasuke in confusion. 

sasuke: she'll be bothered if i call her now

naruto: it's a friday... what could she be possibly doing. you know what, i'm gonna call her

sasuke stared at naruto as he dialed her number. 

'........sakura'

ON THE PHONE

sakura: naruto of all times, you decide to call me when i'm with hinata

naruto: oh are you busy

sakura: kind of, what's up

naruto grinned at the sick raven haired boy and wanted to pull a little scheme

naruto: sasuke has a syndrome

sakura: what syndrome

sasuke looked at naruto and knew that naruto was gonna say something stupid. although he didn't want to fight it back because that's just naruto being naruto. in other words, that's a dobe being a dobe. quite self explanatory

naruto: he has love syndrome

sasuke's eyes widened as he tried his best to cover his light smile. naruto looked at sasuke and laughed mysteriously

sakura: okay naruto what's really going on

naruto: sasuke here, has a bad fever and he wants you to treat him y'know

sakura: i um..... i'm sorry, but i can't

sasuke: hn

he looked at the wall beside him and stared at it. there goes his chance of having her treat him. although it didn't seem like her. but then again, they only started being friends recently. it's not like she would come all the way to his house.... just to help him... just to be there for him

naruto: oh okay... bye sakura

sakura:... bye

END PHONE CALL

naruto: she must've been busy. plus, she was with hinata, and shes been wanting to talk to sakura for awhile.

sasuke didn't look at naruto because it made him feel more weak. to think that they were actually becoming good friends, but when he needed her, she wasn't there

naruto sighed and sat on the floor. he already knew what sasuke was thinking

naruto: check your phone... if she didn't care about you, she wouldn't have texted you. and plus suigetsu sort of said that she is catching on to your rude attitude

sasuke looked at naruto confused and then checked his messages. he saw it but didn't change his expression

sasuke: suigetsu said that?

naruto: she was a little upset for the whole day, and it's probably cause she was worried

sasuke: hmph.. i don't need her to worry about me. 

naruto: damn teme, you ungrateful rat

naruto got up

naruto: it's about to be my curfew, later

sasuke watched his best friend leave as he thought about what he said. he personally didn't think that he was being ungrateful. but then again, sasuke couldn't help but be the weird and cold guy he is. he never wants to show his nicer side to anyone. but there were two people who got through him. they were naruto and shikamaru. he never thought that there would be another who did the same, but he was clearly wrong. there was yet one more, the pinkette whom pierced into his heart just like how naruto and shikamaru did. but this was different, but he was unsure how

TO SAKURA

hinata: you should g-go sakura -chan

ino came out of her kitchen with snacks and brought them to her 2 best friends

ino: hinata's right. you should go see your boyfriend

sakura: nice joke

ino: it's clear that he has some feelings for you. like who knew sasuke would have a soft spot for you. he doesn't even have one for karin

hinata: but karin... karin pushes him around

ino: and sakura doesn't, but she gets fired up in a good way.... which has clearly attracted him

sakura: guys, i don't think he likes me

ino: well whatever it is, it seems special. even shikamaru told me that

sakura: i won't leave you guys for him, trust me

ino: alright forehead

the girls spent some time together but then it came to the time where they had to leave. 

ino: bye guys and i'll see you at the party tomorrow

the girls said their goodbyes and took their leave

sakura called her uncle to ask him something

ON THE PHONE

kakashi: sakura are you coming home

sakura: actually um... can i go to sasuke's place. he's sick

kakashi sighed

kakashi: be back by 10pm

sakura: thank you, love you bye

kakashi: lov--- 

END PHONE CALL

sakura smiled to herself and walked to sasukes house. yes, she was very close to kakashi to the point they say they love each other. he is practically her dad. as she walked over to his house, she couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of guilt for not coming sooner. but then again, she couldn't abandon her best friends. it just wasn't right, but she definitely felt some type of guilt

she got to his doorstep and rang the bell

itachi: sakura... nice seeing you again. if you're here for sasuke, he's upstairs in his room

sakura: thank you

she came inside and quickly went upstairs to his room. she didn't know which one was his but one of the doors were slightly opened. she looked through the crack to see sasuke sitting up on his bed while leaning against the beds backboard. 

she opened the door and sasuke's gaze shifted towards her but then he quickly turned away
