♡ Part 39: the one who can save her ♡

TO SASUKE

naruto wrapped his arm around sasuke and smiled widely

naruto: alright guys let's eat some ramen y'know

they all headed to the kitchen and ate together although sasukes mind was clogged by his memories with sakura. even though she hasn't left yet, it seems like he already lost her....as if she was already gone. just the thought of it was killing him inside

TO SAKURA

she got home and was welcomed by the smell of kakashi's great cooking

sakura: i'm back

kakashi smiled under his mask and motioned for her to sit at the dinning table

kakashi brought the food to her and they ate together although kakashi knew that it was time for them to talk about this

kakashi: i know things feel rough, but are you sure you want to do this?

sakura put her chopsticks down and looked at her beloved kakashi as his dark orbs were already glued onto her

sakura: i thought about it a lot and i think it want to go..

she looked down as she watched kakashi run his fingers through his grey locks

sakura: but i feel so pathetic!

she brought her feet onto the chair she sat on and held her knees close to her chest

sakura: i looked into his eyes and i don't know anymore

it was crazy for her to believe that by even just looking at him, she wanted to stay. her heart couldn't handle this but then again, even while feeling butterflies in her stomach, she still feels that sorrow that sasuke had implanted in her. it was a situation that was more confusing than narutos crazy ideas

kakashi: by any chance, did he apologize

sakura shook her head

'that idiot sasuke'

kakashi thought to himself as began to eat again

kakashi: as long as you're happy, i'm happy. but just think until the last moment

she nodded her head and finally put her knees down and continued eating

THE NEXT DAY (November 5th)

ino: this can't be... YOU CAN'T DO THIS BILLBOARD BROW

the blonde girl hugged her best friend as she was told about the news

hinata: but s-sakura-chan, s-sasuke is really t-trying to fix things

tenten: what do you mean

hinata: yesterday, i saw sasuke at the n-nearby gym p-playing h-hockey alone. i asked him where y-you were a-and if you w-were okay. and then to my surprise, s-sasuke-san told me that h-he wants to stop y-you from leaving

sakuras eyes widened as she looked back down. she had been looking down more often than before

tenten: see sakura! none of us want you to leave so please

naruto: sakura!

himself, shikamaru and lee walked up to the pinkette and her friends as they all stood there together

naruto: sasuke isn't with you?

ino: don't mention that emo boy

shikamaru: what a drag, be nicer ino he's still our friend

ino: be quiet shikamaru, you're second in line for being most cold hearted after the famous uchiha

lee: sakura i heard you might leave, but don't forget the power of youth will always be with you!

he gave a thumbs up to sakura and she smiled at him. even as crazy as it sounds, she was going to miss the bowl haired boy's speeches and positive attitude

sasuke soon walked up to them and silence filled the air. it became extremely awkward but naruto couldn't handle it 

naruto: c'mon y'know

he grabbed the raven haired boy and the pinkette. he pushed them closer together and she stumbled over her own feet and almost fell. although sasuke saved her and he could only do so by grabbing her waist. their eyes clashed and stayed in that position until ino pushed sasuke away

ino: not today emo boy

she grabbed sakuras hands and dragged her away

sasuke: hmph

tenten: i mean sasuke, she's our friend and yours too. you should do something before it's too late

hinata: agr---

the bell rang and they all headed to class. at this point, sasuke had to do something. instead of paying attention in class, he decided to think about all possible things he could do to save her. although the one thing that kept popping into his head was seducing her but he knew that it was the dumbest thing he could possibly think....and then it hit him. 

'am i spending too much time with that closet-perv kakashi-sensei?'

he slammed his head onto the the desk which caught everyones attention, even sakuras.

kakashi: nice sasuke, i would love to do that to myself everytime i heard you say "hmph" as a response

the class chuckled and went back to learning. it was almost as if kakashi knew what he was thinking and it left chills on the raven haired boy. weird

LUNCH

naruto and sakura decided to eat lunch alone together and left sasuke with the others. he didn't mind much because he was used to seeing the two of them leave everyone else to be together. it's been like that since they were little kids. although as he thought about their childhood, he remembered watching sakura and naruto play in the leaves together. a small smile crept onto his lips as the memories flashed before him. who knew the cold hearted uchiha would fall in love with the shy, wide foreheaded pinkette. 

as he thought about everything, he felt a tap on his shoulder and to his own surprise, the red haired boy was the one who did it. 

sasori: let's talk

sasuke: no

he bluntly said as he turned his head the other way. 

sasori sighed

sasori: i'll just say it then.... make her stay

he mumbled the last part as he felt ashamed that he couldn't be the one to do it. he knew that sasuke was the one who could keep her from leaving and it killed him knowing that sakura loved this ungrateful, cold hearted, selfish rat.

sasuke: hmph

sasori: do it before it's too late

he walked off at that. sasuke turned back around to see sasori's figure disappear. 

'.......'

he sat there alone as he looked around at his surroundings. now that he thought of it, karin hadn't even come up to him since their second kiss. it was odd but then again, he reminded himself that sakura was his main priority. not karin

AFTER SCHOOL

it started raining and sasuke felt himself feel a little smart for always keeping an umbrella in his bag. he looked over to sakuras locker and notice her leave without anyone. although she didn't seem like she was in a rush, she just seemed like she..

'was alone....'

sasuke knew that feeling all too well and so he caught it the moment he saw it. he slowly trailed behind her but she wasn't heading the direction of her home and so he was eager to see where she was heading
