AFTER SCHOOL

ino: c'mon sakura, cheer up! you don't need sasuke to be happy...right?

the five girls sat in a winter café with amazake all in their hands. the pinkettes head was drooping down with half of her face being covered by her neck scarf

tenten: if sasuke really loved you, then he wouldn't have embarrassed you like that in front of everyone

sakura: i embarrassed myself

ino: you sure did

the girls chuckle in hopes of cheering the pinkette up

temari: there's no real need to worry, you'll be fine without him

hinata: sakura-chan...

was hinata the only one who noticed the small tear that escaped green eyes?

TO SASUKE

he broke up with sakura and the last thing he wanted to do was go to his house where he would surely see his older brother with his girlfriend- or see his uncle obito with his aunt rin.

as of now, it didn't seem like he had any friends so he walked down the streets of konoha with his head dropped low and hands in loose fists that were situated into his pockets. an undesirable silence accompanied him, causing his lips to press hard into a thin line

he let her go, but not in the way he thought he would

shikamaru: if you're going to be a drag, at least let me be a drag with you. 

the raven stopped on his tracks as he looked over his shoulder to see the one person he didn't expect to see, especially after the incident before their classes started this morning. the nara made his lazy way to sasuke and sighed heavily

shikamaru: let's be drags together, yeah?

the uchiha scoffed and turned his attention back at front

sasuke: whatever, hmph

the two of them went on their way as they walked side by side while avoiding each other's gazes. 

shikamaru knew sasuke just as much naruto did---- which self explained the fact that he was very close to sasuke. he knew of sasuke's temper, but also knew of his delicate feelings that he never dared to show to others. he practically branded the word 'cold' onto his skin to avoid anyone feeling as if they needed to question his feelings. 

although he was delicate. horribly so. which only caused him to mix his delicate and cold side into one which inevitably caused more destruction than he thought it would. 

shikamaru: why did you be bothersome and break up with sakura?

sasuke: hmph

the nara sighed

shikamaru: that's not a reason

sasuke: my actions don't need reasons

sasuke narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked around as they walked

sasuke: i don't need a reason to break up with her. i need a reason to stay with her, which there wasn't. 

shikamaru: is that really how you feel, sasuke?

shikamaru eyed his best friend from the side

shikamaru: i don't think that you know what you did...

sasuke: i do know what i did

onyx eyes iced over

sasuke: i broke up with sakura
