♡ Part 65: through you, through simple reconciliation ♡

TO SAKURA

she closed her locker and was about to walk home until she heard someone calling out to her. she turned around and a small smile plastered her lips the moment she saw who it was. the boy approached her with his red hair and smiled

sasori: let's walk home together

sakura nodded and they headed on their way 

sasori: so, i'm guessing that you've been talking to tsunade-sama about your future right?

sakura: yeah, it's all set. but that's not what i'm worried about

sasori gently hit her arm and gave her a reassuring smile

sasori: he'll figure it out. and if not, then he sucks. but i'm sure he will....

sakura: -mumbling- what makes you so sure..

sasori: the fact that he got you to fall in love with him

sakura and sasori stopped on their tracks and the pinkette couldn't help but think over what sasori had just said

sasori: just have faith in your love, i'm sure he'll find an answer through you

sakura: sasori...

sasori: trust me, haruno

sakura slowly nodded and they hugged before continuing their way home

sasori: by the way, i talked to kakashi-sensei and i have a few people that we can add onto our team. 

sakura: who are they? 

she curiously asked the red head as they reached her doorstep

sasori: you'll see.... but once you see one of them, you'll laugh

sakura tilted her head before chuckling

sakura: see ya

sasori waved the pinkette goodbye and stared at her door for a second before turning around and heading to his own home. in all honesty, even though he loved sakura for so long, he felt himself losing his feelings but that was only possible by seeing her happy with someone else. seeing her with sasuke, made him realize that no matter how much he wanted it, he could never be the same with her. they were like brother and sister, not lovers and it was the hard truth that sasori had to realize in the hardest way. but in the end, he was happy that she was happy. even if it wasn't with himself

and if he was being really honest with himself, one of the people that he had invited to be on the team, was someone that he had been talking to for a while. he was a special knucklehead that bothered sasori a lot but still made sasori happy at the same time

he smiled to himself at the thought of that special person and entered his home

TO SAKURA

she flopped onto her bed and thought of sasori's words. no matter how hard she tried to not overthink it, she still did anyways

'he's gonna find an answer through me? how?'

sakura tucked her face deep into her pillow until she felt her phone buzz. she sat herself up and checked her phone. 

'sasuke....'

he texted her and once she opened her messages, she felt her lips curve upwards
