{The Next Day}

You sat in English class at a table with Omar and Minerva. You guys were waiting for Violet, who was coming in late.

Omar: Can't believe we're doing another damn presentation. What's the book this time?

Minerva: The Great Gatsby.

You: I've seen the movie...from 1974.

Omar: That's pretty old. They should think of doing another remake.

You shrug.

Minerva: So you guys got your books?

Omar nods as he takes his out.

You: Mine's in my book bag. I'll be right back.

You get up, and walk over to your desk. You open your backpack, and shuffle through your things. You see your mask, and hide it deeper into your bag. You take out the book.

When you turn around, you see that Violet had just arrived and sat at the table. But, she's wearing sunglasses. You found it kind of weird. Minerva and Omar were talking to her.

You walked over and greeted Violet as you at down.

You: Hey, Vi.

Violet looked up at you, and seemed to stare. She was looking at the cut across your chin.

Violet: ...Hey.

Omar: So what the hell did you say happened again?

You were wondering what they were talking about before you sat down.

Violet: Like I said....I was trying MMA and got clocked in the face.

Minerva: Didn't know you took MMA.

Omar: That's kind of badass.

You: What are you talking about?

Minerva looked at Violet.

Minerva: You wanna show him?

Violet simply nodded, and took off her sunglasses. You saw the bruise she had....the same place on her face that you had punched the Black Cat the night before.

Violet just looked at you, and you stared back. At that moment, the both of you already knew.

You: Wow....that must've hurt.

Violet: It sure did. But hey, it comes with the territory.

Omar: I bet. MMA is intense.

You simply nod.

Minerva: We should get started. You have your book, Vi?

Violet: Yeah.

She took the book out of her bag.

The four of you started your assignment.

Class was over. You grabbed your bag and started walking out with Minerva, Omar, and Violet. Once you made it out the door, Violet grabbed your arm. She turned to Omar and Minerva.

Violet: We'll meet up with you guys in a bit. I have to talk to Y/N about something.

Minerva: All right. See you later.

The both of them walked off. Violet pulled you over and made you walk with her down the courtyard path.

You already knew what she was going to talk about.
