"We need to start you on chemo soon, we'd like to have you start today, if possible." The doctor said, as Aubrey held my right hand and Travis holding my left one, "Could you sign these papers right fast, Stacy? And I need to speak to you in private.

"Yeah, that's fine. Guys, could you leave for a few minutes?" They both nodded, and stood up and walked out.

"Stacy, I hate telling you this, but the chances of you pulling out of this alive, aren't very good."

I gulped, I wasn't going to cry, but my eyes said otherwise, "How much of a chance do I have of dying?" I whispered, for the first time in my life actually being scared.

"You have about a even 90% chance of not making it Stacy." He laid his hand on my shoulder, I looked at the somber expression on the doctor's face and started crying.

"I promise I will do everything in my power to keep you alive."

The guys walked through the door, and I broke down again, Alex walked to me and hugged me. Alex let me go, "Matt, I'll take you to her." I grabbed his hand and looked up at him, he was crying, "I know, Matt." We walked into the room and Matt ran to Stacy who was crying,

"Stacy, you look fine, how can you not be fine?" He kissed her head and held her tight, I backed out and shut the door.
