Setsuko walked to the center of the backyard and sat down crossed-legged. Her chest expanded as her lungs filled up with air. There was a peaceful, almost sleep-like, look to her as she continued to rest in place.

"Is... she awake?" Hideo whispered.

I put a finger over my lips to signal for him to be quiet.

His eyes leered at me. "Hmph, I'm not that loud."

Something flew at Hideo, knocking him back.

He pushed himself back up. "Ouch, what was that? Who did that?" He stared at his shirt and saw that there was dirt all over it. "Huh?'

"Be quiet," Setsuko said, opening her eyes. "I told you this needs a lot of focus, didn't I?"

The short knight dusted off his shirt. "W-were you the one who did that? I didn't even see you pick up dirt."

She smirked. "So, you noticed at least that much. This world doesn't even have dirt to begin with. I created that dirt out of the mana I gathered. It was difficult though. Back home that would've been a boulder."

"A boulder?" Hideo asked, stepping back. "You wanted to kill me?"

She snickered. "I knew it wasn't going to be one."

"Are you sure?"

"She's pretty violent. She has wanted to kill me several times," Eiichi said, sighing.

I scoffed. "Can't blame her for wanting to."

Eiichi turned away. "Whatever."

"This world is short on mana. That's why Setsuko's boulder was only a clump of dirt," Hyosetsu said, glancing at the white 'sky'. It felt as if we were inside an unfinished picture book or something along those lines.

"Correct. That's what makes this realm the ideal place to train your mana control," Halim said, leaning against the wooden fence. "You must tap into the minimal mana that exists and use that for your moves."

"Hmm, Donato has superior mana gathering abilities," Hideo said, staring at the gun still in his hands.

Halim snickered. "Sorry, kid. You can't use your weapons here. Each one of you will have to do it yourselves. Else, it would defeat the purpose of the training itself."

"I see. It's similar to my training with weights," I said, raising my arms to show the weights I carried.

"Woah, how much is that?" Halim asked, tilting his head.

"About 120 pounds each."

"Ehh? Each one? Seriously?" he asked, backing away. "Woah!"

"Should one of the Seven Angels really be surprised?" Hyosetsu asked, leering at him.

Halim snickered. "Well, I guess it's not much for one like me. But it's still impressive to meet someone so young who can lift that much." He glanced at Hyosetsu. "Say, you look like you could use some more muscle. Same goes for you, shorty."
