*Ashi*

"Feeling better now?" Mommy asks.

I touch my head and nod. "A little."

Papa pats my head and smiles as he raises me on his shoulders. "Cheer up, Ashi."

I smile.

Suddenly, my stomach grumbled.

Papa laughed.

"Don't laugh!" I yell, blushing.

Mommy giggles. "How about we get something, kids?"

"Yeah, food!" my siblings yell in unison.

"Wish to join us, Keiko?" Mom asks, glancing at my childhood friend.

Keiko gives her a cut smile and nods.

"What do you want to eat?" Papa asks.

I grin. "Something with carrots!"

Papa laughs. "I should've known."

"Are you sure you're not a actual bunny?" Keiko asks as she tries to suppress a giggle.

I chuckle. "Maybe I am!"

My childhood friend blinks. "Really?"

I giggle.

"Wait, are you kidding?"

"Not telling."

"Ahh, come on!" Keiko says, stomping her foot on the floor.

Papa glances back at me, more specifically at the rosary beads around my neck.

"Is something wrong, Papa?" Ashi asks.

He shakes his head. "No, it's nothing. Now, hold on tightly, bunny boy! We're going to go get your your carrots!"

"Yippee!" I yell.

Just as Papa is about to start rushing forward, I catch a glimpse of the white haired boy who had saved me earlier. The fox mask continues to obscure his face as he walks in the opposite direction.

He claimed he wasn't a spirit, but was that true?

I smile. Regardless of who he is, I'm thankful I met him.

"What happened next?" Ivonne asks as she stares at Mama with shimmering eyes.

"Well..."

"Ivonne! There you are! I was looking everywhere for you!"

The three of us turn left and see a green-haired woman rushing over.

"Mommy!" Ivonne says, running over to her mom.

"It's been awhile," Mom says.

The green-haired woman chuckles. "It sure has! I think the last time we saw each other was during the Mahoulympics a few years ago."

"Right."

"Mommy, where are Daddy and the others?" Ivonne asks as she looks up at her mom.

Ivonne's mom squats down and picks her up. "Your daddy is frantically looking for you." She sighs. "If only that man didn't refuse to own a phone, I could call him."

My mama glances around. "I still haven't found my husband nor the rest of my kids either. Unfortunately, the phone reception in this area appears to be lacking."

"That's too bad. Maybe they went to get something to eat," Ivonne's mommy says.

"Hmm, that's possible."

Ivonne rubs her stomach. "Can we go get some chow too?"

Her mom smiles as she puts her down and grabs a hold of her hand. "Sure. What would you like?"

"Hmm, fish sounds nice," Ivonne says, grinning.

Her mom nods. "It does. Hmm, maybe your dad and siblings stopped for some at the stalls."

"Why the stalls?" I ask.

"My husband loves fish from food stalls. He likes them better than restaurant fish."

I touch my mouth. I haven't eat much stall food, but considering how many there are around here, giving one a try isn't a bad idea.

"Want some too, Sierra?" Mommy asks.

I smile. "You know me well, Mommy!"

He laughs. "I still pale compared to my mom."

I blink. Mommy rarely spoke about Grandma. All I knew is that she'd passed away when my mommy was still a kid. Wonder if she avoids the subject because talking about Grandma made her sad.

"How was Grandma?" I ask.

Mommy grabs hold of my hand. "She was a beautiful woman. Frankly, I don't think I compare to her."

My jaw drops. "What? But Mommy is one of the most beautiful people I've met."

Mommy snickers. "That's only because you've yet to meet them." She smiled. "Actually, you got some her traits, such as your wavy hair."

I giggle. "You got that too!"

Her face reddens a little. "True. As did my sister."

I smile. "I'm sure Grandma was as kind as you, Mommy!"

She glances up at the blue sky. "She was indeed a great woman."

"Hey, Miss Kuroriku, would you mind telling us more of the story?" Ivonne asks.

"Oh, sure!"

"Huh, story?" Ivonne's mom asks.

"Yeah, the story of m... of the five knights," she says as she looks directly at the crowd.

"I see. That's a rather long tale."

"It is, but the kids enjoy it."

I gasp and reach into my black purse and take out a notepad. I forgot to write down what Mommy just told me for Setsuna and the others!

"Don't worry, dear. I'll fill in your siblings later. Or who knows, maybe your dad is doing the same. He does know some events better than me."

I sigh. "I hope so."

Mommy smiles. "Now, where was I... Oh, yeah!"
