Baam Pov

"...Unholy mother of Satan..." Cece mumbled, flopping onto the bed.

Let's just say that it's been a wild and hot couple of hours.

"I know that you liked it, so you can't complain, Cece," I stated, pulling the female into my arms and nuzzling into the crook of her neck.

"I bet that you're the first human that managed to drain a Demon Royal of their stamina and live to tell the tale," Cece replied, laughing lightly and hugging my back.

"Would you like to go for another round?"

"NO!! I'll be reduced to nothing but floppy seaweed if we go again. You won't have any intentions of stopping even if I beg!!" Cece protested, jumping out of the bed and taking a defensive stance.

"All right, all right. Could you come back to bed? I wanna hold you."

"Thanks to someone, my body is very much in pain and aching everywhere. I'll be at the baths, taking some time off. And no, you can't come because then you'll try to get down and dirty with me there." Cece stated, materializing a fluffy red bathrobe and winding it around her body with a huff.

"But-"

"No buts!! Or else we'll be using separate beds for a week."

I could almost feel my imaginary puppy ears flop down in disappointment at Cece's clear rejection. Letting out a sigh, I decided to let her do as she wished. Having Cece in front of me, just within reach but being unable to have her in my arms for a week was a torture that I wasn't willing to go through.

"Be back before they turn the lights out, okay?" I said, giving her a light kiss on the forehead.

"It depends on how long it takes for the aches to go away. You only have yourself to blame if I'm not back by then." Cece replied with a smirk, mocking my words from several hours before.

As I let her leave, I felt the familiar and oh-so-hated feeling of dread fill my body and mind. And with every passing second, tiny sprouts of fear started to grow within my heart. Cece had yet to return, even after the lights went out, making the anxiety within grow even faster.

Cece and I have been in a relationship for five years and ongoing now.

But even then, the notion of the strange idea where Cece felt so far away from me had yet to disappear. So far, and so hard to catch. She was there, and yet she wasn't.

It felt as though I was trying to hold water within my hand. At first, it would be there. But as time passed by, the liquid slipped through your fingers and disappeared to who knows where.

Long story short, I was terrified of her leaving.

BEBEBEBEEEEEP- BEBEBEBEEEEEP- BEBEBEBE-

"A remote?" I muttered to myself, holding the device in my hand.

But the confusion didn't last long, as a voice sparked to life through the small speaker embedded within the remote. It was the Ranker Love, who was also our Test Administrator.

"---FROM THIS MOMENT, WE'LL START OUR NEXT TEST."

Next test? But Cece isn't back yet. I thought, the feeling of dread growing stronger and twisting around my gut viciously. Relax, Baam. She's probably just lost and wandering around the halls since they turned all the lights out. She'll be back.

Then to make matters worse, the doors and windows around the room all closed and locked (minus the washroom), isolating me within. I could hear my heart beat in my ears as a sinister voice whispered promises of leaving me completely alone, just like the twelve days where I had been entirely isolated after joining FUG.

If it wasn't for Love's voice explaining the rules through the remote in my hand, I would've burst through the door in search of Cece.

"THE TEST IS CALLED "TRUSTWORTHY ROOM". FROM NOW, TRUST NO ONE. YOU ARE EVERYONE'S ALLY AND EVERYONE'S ENEMY AT THE SAME TIME. THE ONLY THING THAT YOU CAN TRUST IS YOUR ROOM." Love explained.

"AS FOR YOU, FUG." Love spoke, catching my attention.

"FIGHT ME."
