☆ 3rd Person POV ☆

Sounds echoed and filled the rainforest, mostly the noises of RainWing and NightWing dragonets. The small dragons were quite loud and full of energy, compared to the older RainWings and NightWings. (N/n)'s ears were curled downwards, trying to protect her hearing.

The lovely (s/c) NightWing was one of  main caretakers on the dragonets in the nursery of the Rain-Night kingdom. She was the best as calming the dragonets down as night fell upon the Rainforest every night. She would read stories and fairytales to them to help them drift off to sleep. Best thing is that (N/n) made these stories herself. She would say it was her speciality. It was her passion, really. It was just a plus that it would help the dragonets fall into deep slumber for the night.

However, even if she was great with dragonets, didn't mean she was the best with other dragons. Especially dragons her own age. Many of her fellow NightWings would describe her as childish and young for her age. The (s/c) NightWing wouldn't take this harshly, however it did limit her friend group in her tribe. She did have one NightWing that she would say her best friend was. That dragon was Hope, the mother of a small hybrid dragonet named Peacemaker.

(N/n) would spend most of her time in the nursery and many times, Hope would visit her while bringing her son to play with the other dragonets. Hope was quite the sweet dragon when talking with the (s/c) NightWing. Hope would always be friendly with (N/n). Even one time, Hope stood up for her when an aggressive NightWing was being mean to her. (N/n) was shocked, yet grateful that day.

Now, Hope was flying towards the nursery with Peacemaker being her side. The large NightWing had a smile upon her face with her dark green eyes bright and her dark green scales shining. Peacemaker hadn't seen his mother THIS happy before. Only his RainWing friends would appear this overjoyed.

" Why are you so happy, mom? What's happening? ", Peacemaker asked with curiosity.
" Oh, nothing you would understand, just yet. But I'm going to see the prettiest NightWing in all the Rainforest. ", Hope told him.
" The prettiest NightWing? ", Peacemaker repeated, tilting his head at her.
" Oh yes, she's also one of the kindest. ", Hope said.
" Do I know her? ", The small dragonet asked.
" Yes, you know her quite well. She's known about you for a while. She has told me that she's quite fond of you. ", Hope smiled.
" Fond of me? ", Peacemaker questioned.
" It means she likes you. She always tells me how silly you are all the time. ", Hope admitted.
Peacemaker giggled, revealing his sharp, but small teeth.
" I am quite silly, aren't I? ", He snickered.

Quickly after, both Hope and her son arrived at the nursery. The hut has been recently expanded to fit the NightWing dragonets. Immediately when Hope's dark green talons reached the platform, Peacemaker ran past her, running into the hut at full dragonet speed. He crashed into a familiar (s/c) NightWing.

Peacemaker shook his head and looked up at her.
" I'm sorry, Miss (N/n)! ", He apologized, quickly.
" It's quite alright. Are you excited to play with your friends? ", The (s/c) NightWing replied.
Peacemaker nodded, just itching to have fun with the other dragonets. (N/n) smiled at him, her (e/c) gaze soft. Then, She looked up to see Hope. Her (e/c) eyes dilated as she spotted the dark green NightWing. Peacemaker turned to his mother.
" Mom, may I go now? ", He asked loudly, getting quickly impatient.
" Yes, you may. ", Hope confirmed, walking over to them.
A smile appeared on the dragonet's face and he ran inside with his ruffs bright with spots of yellow.

Right before (N/n) turned to go back inside, Hope ushered the NightWing with her black wings. (N/n) gave her a slightly puzzled expression.
" Please darling, follow me. ", Hope spoke with a soft and loving tone.
A splash of red blush appeared on (N/n)'s (s/c) cheeks.
' Darling?! ', Her mind repeated, a bit startled since this was new.
" Umm, Alright. Where are we going? ", (N/n) questioned, shaking off her sudden feelings.
" You'll see. It's something special. ", Hope admitted as she opened her black wings to the sky.
The dark green NightWing jumped off the platform and started to fly off. (N/n) tried to quickly stay at her side.

After a silent and awkward flight, Hope dove down to the forest floor. (N/n) followed, with her heart pounding in her (s/c) chest. Soon, Hope faced a big bunch of bushes and other flora. She looked back at (N/n), staring at her with admiration.
" Why did you bring me here? ", (N/n) asked, confused.
" Go inside, please. ", Hope told her.
Still a bit lost, (N/n) shrugged and slipped inside the colorful foliage. Hope snickered to herself as she thought of the possibilities of the (s/c) NightWing's reaction. Then, She slipped into the bush, smiling from ear to ear. She found (N/n) looking at her surprise, starry-eyed.

" Well, do you like it? ", Hope questioned.
(N/n) couldn't even respond. She couldn't stop staring at what was in front of her. It was a lake, but it was absolutely magical looking. It shined so brightly in the soft sunlight. The flora was twisted in (e/c) and (f/c). There were small fairy houses and lots of mushrooms that scattered upon the landscape around the lake. It was a full real life recreation of a fairy village, heavily inspired by (N/n)'s fairytales that she wrote.

When (N/n) turned to Hope, she still could barely speak.
" How did you-? ", She peeped out.
" I've read all of your beautiful work, Darling. Now, I wanted to show how much you mean to me. ", Hope confirmed.
Hope took (N/n)'s (s/c) talons in her own. The NightWings eyes locked together for a moment, Dark green twisted with (e/c). Then, Hope spoke up once more.
" You, my dear are my fairytale. You always have been. I don't care about what any of our tribe think about this. But, I've held myself back for so long. You're no Prince Arctic, but you've shown yourself to be an inspiration for me. A light in the darkness. You've helped me feel like a young dragon again, someone who I thought was completely gone. You've made me realize that I can love again. Now, finally, I need to ask you something important. Will you accept me as yours? ", Hope confessed.

The blush was strong on both of their dark snouts. (N/n) blinked at Hope with love in her eyes. Her throat didn't allow her to speak, so she just nodded to tell Hope that she felt the same. Hope was overjoyed by this and picked (N/n) by the shoulders. The dark green NightWing swung her new (s/c) lover around and then after she finished, planted a kiss upon (N/n)'s forehead. The (s/c) NightWing was pressed up on Hope's chest, listening to her heartbeat. The fast paced pounding made (N/n) feel queasy to her stomach. She didn't know how to feel because she just witnessed her crush confess to her and become her new girlfriend.

First request that I managed to write after my forced break! :)

I hope it's alright. It might be a bit cheesy and a bit bad. I think I've gotten a bit rusty after that month of no writing jail. But ehhh, I got that inspiration and wrote this. So, enjoy, I guess hehe :)
