Mahi's POV

I came back home after spending the whole day at my office and was very tired as I made some tentative plans for  Kapoors' showroom and offices, as my plans for Raj and Myra's room were also ready, all they needed was to select and I could get the work started and get it finished as soon as possible.

It was a long day, Dad asked me about my day. And told him everything.

I spent some time with my family after dinner and then went to my room. Though I was very tired, I could not sleep. It was an eventful day. And I was tensed that handling the project of Kapoors' showroom would definitely be fatal for me.

Working on their showroom meant that I would have to spend more time around him and I could not afford it. Things always seem to go out of hand whenever he was around.

Flashback....

I still remember the day, I was about to get 18 at that time.

The day was filled with excitement as Sahaj was throwing a magnificent pool party. As the evening approached, the hotel's pool area was transformed into a vibrant and energetic venue, ready to host a memorable gathering for guests of my age and they were free to bring their dates if they wanted.

The poolside was adorned with colorful decorations, including floating balloons, streamers, and twinkling fairy lights. The area was divided into different sections, featuring cozy lounging spots, a dance floor, and a bar serving a variety of refreshing beverages.

The upbeat music playing in the background set the perfect mood for an unforgettable party.

As the party began, students from our batch arrived one by one, wearing stylish swimwear and bringing their infectious energy with them.

The atmosphere buzzed with laughter and conversations as everyone caught up with friends and made new acquaintances. Many of my classmates came and they flirted with all of us, but I took it lightly as I was not interested in anyone.

The poolside was filled with vibrant personalities, young beautiful girls, and very dashing boys flaunting their perfectly toned bodies, each adding their unique charm to the event.

Sahaj greeted everyone with a warm smile and made sure that they felt welcomed.

He effortlessly moved from one group to another holding my hand, ensuring that I meet people as I was a bit reserved with others. I only wanted Ron but he was not interested in me. So I just thought of enjoying the party without getting involved with anyone.

Everyone was having a great time. Sahaj was enthusiastic about introducing people to each other, creating a lively and inclusive environment. He and Ruhan introduced me to many friends and they tried hitting on me but I was not interested so kept brushing off the casual flirting and then I saw Sujal coming with his friends.

My heartbeat increased the moment I saw the Kapoor twins. I didn't know who was who as they looked alike. But the one who would avoid me would be Ron. I was sick of him avoiding me so I thought of ignoring him and enjoying the party with Sahaj and Ruhan.

The pool itself became the focal point of the party. The crystal-clear water shimmered under the evening sky, inviting me to take a refreshing dip so I jumped into it, I had learned the swimming well by now and could swim like a fish.

I was in the pool with Ruhan, Saanjh, and Sahaj. Ishaan, one of my classmates got a mocktail drink for me but I refused to drink. He kept insisting and I took a few sips of it, it was different but I liked so drank more. I was enjoying myself so loosened up a bit and started having more fun with awesome mocktails, amazing music, yummy food, and funny friends.
