It started with an Accident...

Chapter 110

Mahi's POV

" Mihir burnt all those things, I had wanted to give to you. " I said with a long face but he smiled.

Weird!!! 

" Why are you smiling? "

" Wait!! Let me show you something. " He said and went to open his cupboard.

" What is it?" I asked. He got a bag out of it, came to me, and gave it to me. I opened it and I literally shrieked out.

"  Hey, how did you get them??  Mihir burnt them... I saw him doing it. I tried to stop him but he was too angry to hear anything. How come you have all this? "  I asked. I was so pleasantly surprised to see those things.

" Yes, Mihir tried to burn them but as soon as you left, Ruhan saved them and got his hands burnt in doing so. But he said that he could not let them burn as they were your feelings for me.  It seemed that only the picture of us kissing each other was burnt till you left. He picked it up with his hand threw it away and saved the rest of the things. "

" Really, I love him. "

" Hey!! You can love only me, "

" But he is my very good friend. He saved all these for me and you. I do love him. "  I said. He made a jealous face.

" But say that he is your brother now,"  he said and I was surprised at his behaviour.

" Ron!! Like seriously?? "

" Yes, you are getting married to me and he is my brother so he is your brother as well. " He said like a child. But I loved his possessiveness for me.

" No way!! He is my friend."

" Mahi!! That's not done, as it is he is going to be your brother-in-law so a brother-in-law is a brother by law. But I want to hear you say it. " He said and I smiled.

" Of course!! I have always thought of him and Raj as my brothers. "

" Really? " He asked with a smile.

" Hmmm. "

" That idiot said that he is going to flirt with you as he thought that I flirted with Myra. But I was just trying to get them together as you know how they got married. She has been like my sister since she got married to Raj. "

" Let him flirt, it doesn't matter, but both you and I know that he loves you a lot,  he even cleared your name in front of Mihir. He loves you a lot. See he even saved all these things for you without bothering that his hands might get burnt in the process. I really love him for that. "

" I love him too. But now enough about our brother. Let's talk about us. I have read all these cards and diaries many times and I know them word by word by now but I want you to read all of them for me and we will discuss them. You tell me exactly how you felt, well, you have actually explained it but let me tell you how I felt at that time. " He said and he pulled me on his lap and made me read them out aloud.

We kept talking about them for the whole night and I loved hearing his side of the story. I was astonished to hear how he used to feel about all those incidents, I had written in the diaries.

It was morning and I told him that I should go to my room and he nodded reluctantly. He went out to see if there was anyone around but it seemed that everyone was sleeping. So he went to leave me to my room and said that he would talk to his parents and would take me home to meet everyone and then he went back to his room.

It was too soon to get up so I got into bed and tried to sleep but I could not. I was feeling bad for my dad as well. In spite of everything he did, he was my dad and I had always loved him. It's just that I was really hurt that he did all those things to keep Ron away from me.

Only I knew how emotional I had become When he told me to persuade Ron to let me stay with my dad, after mom announced that we were married band Kapoors wanted to take me to their home. He looked very sad and emotional. I had never seen him like that in my life and I felt very bad, but he needed to learn his lesson.

He could not keep me and Ron apart now... But I felt bad for him.

Megha's POV
Last night...

A few minutes passed since Mahi left with Kapoors but Mehul stood by, stunned and in pain, watching the Kapoors' car vanish through the gates of our mansion. I silently came inside,  without a word to Mehul, seeking solace in Mahi's room. The unexpected news of Mahi's sudden marriage left him reeling.

I empathized with Mehul's pain, knowing that the day's events deeply affected him. Nevertheless, it was a lesson he needed to learn.

I didn't want to face him and argue as both my children got engaged to their loved ones.

It was around 11 at night but he had not come out of the room or to talk to confront me. What happened to him??

Is he so depressed or angry that he didn't even ask me why I took such a drastic step?? I wanted him to confront me and then I would have asked him why he did what he did to Ron and Mahi. What did he think that we would never get to know about it??

But it was weird that Mehul was not reacting. He had not asked anything or created any issues till now.

I was curious but I didn't want to talk to him at the moment. Let him ask me why I did all that.

It was morning and I got the breakfast ready by the servants as there were a few relatives who were from other cities and they were still staying with us.

They all started coming out after getting ready to leave. I got the breakfast served and arranged gifts and sweets for the relatives.

Manik and Mihir came out of their room I told them that they had to go and get Mahi from Kapoor Mansion for pag phera.

"But Chachi, I think we should end this here. Chachu is already feeling bad... We must tell him, he has been suffering since yesterday. "

" Yes, mom!! " Mihir said.

" I know, but let him ask me why I allowed her to get married like that and why didn't I tell him anything before the announcement of their wedding? Mihir, go and inform your dad that you and Manik are going to get Mahi for pag phera." I said and he went to our room.

"  Manik, arrange special gifts for everyone in the Kapoor family. Get jewelry pieces for all the women and gold coins for the men. Please get some sets for Mahi as well. I want the best and latest design for all of them. Order fruit baskets, dry fruits, and sweets boxes. "

" But Chachi, they are not married yet. So why pag phera?? "

" Manik, do as I said. We have announced her wedding so we need to do this ceremony. "

"  MOM!.BHAI!! Come fast! "

I heard  Mihir shouting for us. We both looked at each other and got scared we rushed to my room and saw that Mehul was lying on the floor and Mihir was trying to pick him up. I was shocked and could not react but Manik rushed to them and helped him pick up Mehul and laid him on bed.

" What happened to him?? "  Manik asked Mihir, getting tense. Mihir checked his pulse and vitals, I came back to my senses and rushed to them.

" When I came here I saw him lying on the floor. I shook him but he didn't react. Let me call Vihan and Vikram's uncle. " He said and I was scared to hear that. Mihir called Vikram and rushed out talking to him.  I held Mehul's hand in mine and tears were flowing my eyes.

Manik called Kapoors...
