Caroline's POV

I was with Nik in the bedroom when someone knock on the door, I was about to get up but he pulled me to his embrace.

"Someone knock on the door."

"I know, but I'm comfortable to be here."

"Me too. But what if it's something important? I better go see it." I said and got up after give him a peck on the lips and when I opened the door I saw Lydia.

"Hey! Is everything okay?" I asked while closing the door, letting Nik be in the room alone.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you two but Stiles is panicking."

"What? He's having a panic attack?" I asked concerned.

"No!" She said and I calm down. "He is panicking because we were... erm... together and... we broke the bed."

"Wow! You guys are really enjoying being engaged." I said with a smile, then I asked. "But why is he panicking?"

"He's still scared of Klaus and he thinks Klaus will kill him."

"I have an idea." I said and took her to one of Klaus's minions. "Hi! Lydia broke the bed and she needs a new one. Go buy or compel a new one and when we get back from our dinner, I want a new bed prepared to be used by then."

"Yeah. I just take orders from Klaus."

"Okay. So you want me to go tell Klaus how his minions aren't being polite to me, his girlfriend."

"Yeah, right. You must be just some other girl." He said and I slapped him.

"I'm not some girl. I'm Caroline Forbes. Now go or I will have a chat with Klaus."

"You are the... Oh my God! I'm sorry. I'm on my way." He said and left.

"Problem solve. We will have dinner in some restaurant and when we eat back you will have a new bed." I said and was about to walk away but stop and turn to see her. "Just try not to break another."

"Of course. Thanks." She said.

I went back to the bedroom and when I closed the door, Klaus kissed me but this time I didn't kissed him back.

"What's wrong, love?" He asked.

"One of your minions thought that I was just some other girl." I said. "How many girls were you with after you left Mystic Falls?"

"I don't know. Some, but was purely physical."

"Like if that makes it better." I said while rolling my eyes.

"Love, they meant nothing to me." He said but I ignored him. "I love you, not them. I want you, not them."

"Yet, you slept with them."

"Yes, but I'm not a good person. I don't think about others. In that moment I just wanted to feel better. I know it's a horrible thing to do but I used to have sex with random blonde girls and imagine that they were you. I start to wonder if you would come to me or if you were just over me and this was my way to feel closer to you, even if it was just my mind playing tricks on me."

"So now I'm the blame for you sleeping around with sluts?"

"No! But I just want you to know that I never stop loving you." He said, then looked at me and asked. "What about you? How many guys?"

"A few, but not a bunch. Unlike you." I said upset.

"And did you had anything serious after Tyler?"

"No." I said and by his face, I knew what he was thinking. "But it wasn't because of him, it was because of you. I never felt for anyone how I felt when I was with you. No one made me feel like you do."

"So why didn't you come to me?"

"After Tyler found out about what happened between us in the woods, he told me about Hope and I thought that the day in the woods was your way to say goodbye to me and commit only to your life with Hope and that maybe you would marry Haley and have a happy little family." I said while looking down and with he grabbed my chin, making me look at him.

"That was not a goodbye for me. I couldn't say goodbye to you because I can't imagine be without you." He said and I kissed him.

"Good, because I intend to stay in your life for a long long time." I said with a smile, making him smirk and then we kissed
