Alexis' POV.

I was grinning like an idiot internally as I got back into my seat.

Logging onto G-Connect, Prionvincia's largest social media network, I was blown away by the number of messages accumulated over 16 years.

The current trend for the day was #AlwaysAlexis

In a sense, it felt nice when people cared for you.

My profile was shooting off with notifications from millions of people-

'Alexis Niko was a brilliant genius, #AlwaysAlexis'

'Thank you for everything Alexis! #AlwaysAlexis'

"Since when did I have so many fans?" I chuckled,"Eh, why not."

I felt embarrassed posting a picture of Antonio and I so I just resorted to taking one if only me.

The ones of us were for personal enjoyment only.

'Missed me?'

I almost cackled in evil delight as I posted.

The messages almost simultaneously stopped for a few moments.

'Holy shit.'

'Is this real?'

'OMG SHE'S BACK!'

'Where the hell have you gone to?'

"How long till we land?"

[30 minutes.]

I shrugged, posting-

'Was off hunting down obvliates by hand to research. It's much better to get fresh specimens than preserved ones. Good exercise too. I'm touching down in Ammabell, Careshia in half an hour if anyone wants to see me. I think I'll be taking a break from research though.'

'WELCOME BACK ALEXIS! #Welcomeback'

'Welcome home! #Welcomeback!'

'She's back bois! Back! #Welcomeback'

'Are you still gonna do research with Gallium's help?'

I saw that question and decided to answer.

'I'm thinking about joining Gallium.'

'Whaaaa?'

'No way!'

'I've gained a few...Things during my adventure. I think I'll be OK.'

I was about to close the app when-

'We, on behalf of Gallium warmly invite you to join our research team.'

A message from Gallium.

'I'm thinking about joining the combat teams. It's a whole lot more fun than sitting in a room with a painful back.'

I hit back.

'With all due respect, the combat is not a simple place a researcher can get accustomed to.'

'What do you think I've been doing these past sixteen years? I'd kill an obvliate more efficiently than an elite of yours. Why don't you test me?'

I gave a bit of an egotistic sentence so Gallium would have to either step it up or back down.

Either way, checkmate.
