Unknown POV.

Four quadrillion, seven hundred and thirty-six trillion, five hundred and seventy-six billion, fifteen million, nine hundred thousand, four hundred and eighty-nine sleepless years.

Immortality-It seemed like the goal of any mortal, the chance of a lifetime to live beyond a lifetime.

How do you live when you are being tortured by a torturer that you have no power over?

How do you live knowing your own child, the only one you have, is living on borrowed time.

That with every waking moment, they could be dead.

"Phobetor..." I uttered that despicable god's name.

He was no better than Prometheus.

He was the reason I was in torment.

This is my waking nightmare, my unending torment.

And it would never end as long as I didn't give up the  throne as the head of Arcadia.

I couldn't do that.

Not when I know that my friends would all suffer under his tyranny.

I'd never let my emotions get the better of me but I didn't know why, today, I felt couldn't stop thinking about her.

"I really miss her."

"I know. I do too."

We sat side by side in a rocking chair, staring out at the bustling world below.

"But everyone's doing all they can to help you. You can't blame them."

"I don't. I blame myself." I croaked.

"Don't say that, you aren't to blame. This is simply fate being cruel. Didn't you see her last year? She was so happy with that boy. Oh what I'd give to hold her in my arms..."

We were just a sad pair lamenting over what could have been.

"AMBROSIAAAA!" I heard a familiar voice call out to me.

"Pestilence? Who attacked? Where?" I was prepared to go at any moment.

It was my duty to protect this world.

"No no no! No one's attacked!"

"Then why did you..." I frowned confused.

"Ah...Thing is...I think you'll be able to have a heart to heart with your daughter soon."

"What?"

"Lyssa told Antonio about Alexis and he awakened her. Their ichor was enough to awaken her."

His works struck me.

I felt Hemera's grip on my hand tighten.

"You mean..." Her voice was wavering, almost unfeeling.

After so many years of disappointment...

I felt a soul resonate with mine.

I looked at Hemera.

She gulped,"Do you...Do you sense her?" I saw her tearing up.

I nodded.

"After so long..." I hugged her,"We'll finally reunite again."

"I've got so many things to tell her." I mumbled,"I wonder if she'll even believe us."

"She will. I know it."

Arcadia's skies parted, golden light raining down.

Horns blared loudly in triumph, announcing the return of a deity.
