Though, one man did help him through all the hurt, all the pain, and teach him to love again.

Jake Dillinger.

———

"Jeremy?" Jake had been at Jeremy's house, knowing that he had been beating himself up over Michaels death for months. "Jeremy, open the, open the door, please."

Jake knocked on the twinks bedroom door after being let into the house by Jeremys dad, who had to be in a meeting for work. His voice was soothing, as if not to alarm Jeremy, which he didn't think would be best considering he wasn't sure of his current state.

"Jeremy?" The jock nocked again, voice laced with concern as he got no answer.

He tried opening the door, only to find it locked, before calling out to Jeremy again. "Jeremiah?! Open the door!"

When Jake still didn't receive an answer, he decided to try and break it down, hoping that the damage wouldn't be to bad, seeing as he was still a troubled high school student with no money.

Jake hit the door with his shoulder, repeating this action several times before the door finally started to bust and then, with one final bang, did the door break.

"Jeremy!" Jake yelled upon entering the room. "Jere- Oh my god! J-Jeremy?!"

The sight Jake had seen was truly horrific, so much so that he started to sob uncontrollably. Jeremy laid face first on the floor, surrounded by a small, growing puddle of a dark red substance that could only be guessed as blood, while one single razor blade lay next to his unbelievably skinny body.

Jake rushed to Jeremy's side as he pulled out his phone to dial nine-one-one. He was answered right away.

"Hello, this nine-one-one, How may I help you?"

Jake let the words flow out of his mouth, along with many sobs. "My friend, oh god- he's bleeding out and he's really skinny and I think he might be, I think he might be dead! Oh god, please help!"

The operator on the line did their best to calm Jake down and asked for an address.

"Seven Four Two Evergreen Terrace! {Cue The Simpson's music} Please, h-hurry!"

"Sir, please calm down. I'm sending someone your way right now. Check your friends pulse and make sure that their breathing." The operator continued to explain to Jake what he needed to do and he listened, finding that Jeremy, did in fact, have a pulse, though it was very faint.
