*Harry's POV*

"Louis!" I yell at the top of my lungs, finally able to move my legs and rush to his side. Almost immediately, I hear a few pair of footsteps hitting the wooden floor coming closer and closer.

"What happened?" I don't bother looking up to see who it is, but the Irish accent is recognizable.

"Louis," I whisper frantically, taking his head in my hand to lift him up, he doesn't budge. His eyes are half-way open, lost, unable to focus on anything. He's no longer struggling to breathe, but he still looks like he's lost, completely unaware of what's happening. "Louis, look at me!" I yell, patting his cheek and moving his face to where I'm looking straight at him. His face is facing me, yet his eyes are wandering.

"Harry, we need to get him to the hospital," I look up to find Thomas lowering himself to the floor, placing his arms under Louis to carry him.

"No, I'll take him," my words come out from my mouth almost like a slur.

"You're in no position to take him, Harry, I'm sorry," he says, picking Louis up as he takes him from my arms. Thomas turns his back to me, running down the stairs followed by a crying Johannah. At this very moment, it's like I've taken a punch to the gut, and I'm standing there still, watching Louis being carried out. Everything around me is moving in slow motion and it's like I'm trying to run after Louis but I'm getting no where. Niall is already standing at the bottom of the stairs, pulling at his hair in desperation.

"Where are the keys to their other car?" I ask, running down the stairs. Niall holds up his hand, the keys in them. I quickly reach for them only for him to jerk back his hand.

"There is no way you're driving, we have no time for reckless driving if we want to get there alive,"

"Then shut up and drive!" I shout, rushing outside. The headlights of Thomas's car flash in front of me as he pulls out of the driveway. It takes every little bit of strength I have in me not to lose it right then and there, but I'm able to manage seeing them drive away.

When I turn, Niall is already inside the car, engine on, ready to go.

"The ring," I think out loud.

"What?" Niall says from inside the car. I don't bother saying anything, instead rush back inside and dig through my belongings until I finally find the ring and my journal. Once I'm back in the car, Niall steps on gas, taking a different route to the hospital.

"Where the hell are you going!" my scream echoes inside the car. My hand clutched to the small box with the ring and the journal.

"It's a shortcut," he breathes, "just calm down." His hands tremble on the steering wheel.

"Calm down?" I shout,"Are you seriously telling me to calm down? You're telling me to calm down while my boyfriend is fighting a battle to stay alive? I can't fucking calm down Niall!" my scream comes out more as a wale and a cry, followed by my fits meeting the dashboard of the car. Niall stares at me, almost frightened, looking helpless as if he wants to do something but he can't. He takes a double take at the items in my hand, pointing them out.

"What's that?" he asks in an attempt to distract me.

It takes me a moment to focus on what he's saying. In taking a deep breath, I'm finally able to speak about it.
