Mario has PTSD from all of the test he had to go through. Even though he doesn't remember all of them there are times when he feels all the pain and fear that the tests causes him.
He also has depression from everything that has transpired in his life. On multiple occasions he begged the man at the door to let him die and pass on.
During the break out and putting the scps back into containment Mario has grown attached to them all. Mario knows he won't get better living conditions, so he helps put the dangerous scps away while planning his and Kaylabears(if she agrees last minute)escape. He would have a note that he'd leave behind for Xylo and Bryan and one for the foundation.
