*Notice: If you read chapter 1 and 2 in the last couple of days before the start of September (2020), I had already made some new edits. If you didn't realize that, go back to reread if you want to- But it's mostly the same idea, just a little different in the characters. Here's the change I made: Some grammars, Lilac (imaginary character) and Orpheus the detective won't be added in this story... Why? They don't belong in the game, that's why. And I can see how the detective plays a huge role in the Identity V game, but not at this moment right now. So there are remaining 28 survivors (not 30) and as for hunters, Galatea has also been added as well. That's the change. Hope you like this chapter next!*

Lucky Guy's P.O.V

When I woke up from my consciousness, I realized I was in a different place. W-where am I? And more importantly, where is everybody? I breathlessly glanced around my surroundings, but I was very much confused as to where I was . . . All I could see was that the air was kind of foggy, kind of hard to see within more than a mile away or so. And the trees were actually quite taller than I expected.

The grassy fields, the detached walls, those enormous rocks, the giant boxes, and also those weird looking shaped-up boards- Wait, no. . . I think those are supposed to be pallets, aren't they? Monokuma must've told us they would be an advantage against the- What am I even thinking?! I shouldn't be wasting anymore time right now.

I anxiously turned around to see if anybody was with me at that moment, "Where are my teammates?" I said to myself, "Or do I have to . . . Oh," my eyes were fixed onto something behind me. It looked like some sort of odd-looking machine to me, but I'm assuming it was the cipher Monokuma was talking about.

Hurriedly, I raced over to the cipher, and began hacking- even though I have absolutely no idea what to do, my mind is only still focusing on getting out of here before the hunter would find me or so. It's not like I wanted to be stuck in the rocket chair, more like I don't want to die, that is. . .

After a moment had passed, I was making my way to 50% of hacking until I heard something moving. It felt like something or someone was coming my way, and that's when my mind started to race badly. Is the hunter coming towards me? Did he or she sense where I'm at? Did my teammates survive? What am I going to do? Run?

Before I was about to leave the cipher and get the heck out of here, I heard a familiar voice, "Lucky, there you are!" A girl with a straw hat and cute freckles waved at me, not far away from where I'm standing at.

"Um, that's me?" I hesitated, not sure why she would call me that, but I didn't mind as much since I'm pretty sure that name would fit me as a substitute for now. As I watched her run up to me with a smile lit across her face- what's her name again? Oh, Emma! I started asking first, "Emma, did you see the others?"

Emma tilted her head curiously at me, "You mean Freddy and Emily? Oh, they're probably still hacking, why?"

"Wait," I frowned suspiciously, "How did you know they were in our team?"

"I passed by them already, why?" She replied, then glanced behind me. "Oh, so I see you're still hacking."

I shrugged, "I was until I thought I heard someone coming over here and-"

"Awww, you thought I was a hunter," she teased me. "But don't worry, if you feel any signs of heartbeat, you would easily know that a hunter is near you."

Hearing this, I raised one of my eyebrows at her, "How did you- Wait, let me guess," I continued, "You felt it, didn't you?"

"Correct, I did," Emma answered, then slowly lowered her voice to a whisper, "But one thing's for sure, now's not the best time for some little chit-chat, Lucky."
