Best Friends Boyfriend

My best friend, Nancy is dating Mason Mount and I might have a small crush on him. I know I shouldn't love him but I do. I have to hide it. Today we're going clubbing which is exciting. I slide on a pink dress with pink heels. I loosely curl my hair. I do light make up. Nancy walks inside and smirks. "Seriously, what are you wearing?" asked Nancy. "An outfit that I like" I said, sliding on my rings. 

Nancy is wearing a see through bralette, black skinny jeans, with black netted tights with black skinny jeans. She's wearing brown boots. Her hair messy and her make up heavy. I sigh and hear Mason. "Hey Nancy, looking pretty" said Mason. "Hey Mase" said Nancy. "Hey, Kaitlyn" said Mason. "Hey Mason" I said. He smiles and leans against the counter. "So, a pink dress" said Mason. "Yeah, it's new and my favourite" I said, smiling. 

We get the Uber and he drives us to a club. We go inside and Nancy gets us drinks. I thank her and take sip of my vodka and coke. I look around and watch Mason and Nancy dance. I sigh and lean against the wall. I look down and bite my lip. I need to move on but it's Mason. "Hey, you OK?" asked Mason. "I'm good" I said. Mason nods and looks around. "So, any boyfriends?" asked Mason. "Nope." I said. "Right, what happened between you and your ex?" asked Mason. "He wanted me to give up work and have kids" I said. "Oh wow" said Mason. "I want marriage and babies but he was rushing me" I said. "I'm sorry, Nancy is at the toilet." said Mason. I nod. I play with my rings. "I'm thinking of proposing to her" said Mason. I smile, it's fake. "Wow, when?" I ask. "Tomorrow" said Mason. "Right, well good luck. She'll definitely say yeah" I said. "I hope so" said Mason. I smile and look down. 

Nancy walks over and kisses him. "Hey, Nance? I have work tomorrow, so I should go home for an early night" I said. "OK, well text me" said Nancy. I nod and leave. I get home and go put on my pyjama's and sit on the sofa. I sigh and rub my face. I grab some popcorn and coca cola. I sigh and end up falling asleep watching Squid Game. 

Next day

I hear a knock on my door. I go open the door. "Mason?" I ask. "Nancy cheated on me. I..... uh..... dumped her" said Mason. I hug him. "I am so, so sorry" I said. "So am I.  I thought I loved her but I don't know. I should be crying but I have no tears" said Mason. "I'm sorry, Mason" I said. I let him in and we sit on the sofa. 

"Kait? What if I had feelings for you?" asked Mason. "I'd say we'd have to be just friends before we take the chance. I like you, Mase but I need to know that I am not a rebound" I said. "Friends, take it slow and then your mine" said Mason. I nod. Mason smiles and hugs me. I smile and kiss his cheek. "You in work today?" asked Mason. "No. I lied last night" I said. I hear a knock. Nancy. "I'll hide" said Mason, he sneaks to the laundry room. I sigh and open the door. "Mason dumped me. I cheated on him" said Nancy. "Why?" I ask. "He doesn't satisfy me, like at all" said Nancy. "But why cheat? Why not break up with him. I understand that you weren't satisfied but still, just break up with him" I said. "I am your best friend, your meant to be on MY side" said Nancy. "No. I'm on the side of the person who was cheated ON! Look, I have shit to do today, can you please leave, I'll text ya later" I said. "Fine" huffed Nancy, walking out. 

Mason walks out and sighs. "Wow, I didn't realise how horrible she is" said Mason. "It's Nancy" I said. 

For the next couple of months, we become best friends and finally, dating. We've been dating for 1 year and I discovered I'm pregnant. Nancy is back from traveling and well, I'm 5 months pregnant. 

I slide on a bodycon dress with a top over it. I slide on vans and loosely curl my hair. I do light make up. Mason walks over and places his hands on my bump. "How's our boy?" asked Mason. "Happy" I said. "Nancy can't say anything" said Mason. "I know, I'm just scared" I said. "It will be fine" said Mason. "I know but she's a live wire" I said. "I know" said Mason. 

We head to the park where Nancy is meeting me. Mason is coming along a bit later. Me, my other best friend, Lily are meeting her. "Wow, Kait your pregnant" said Nancy. "Yeah. 5 months with a boy" I said. "Wow" said Nancy. "Yeah" I said. We sit down on a bench and have food. 

I hear my name. "Mason?" said Nancy. I stand up and smile at him. "Hey, you finally arrived, how was training?" I ask. "Tiring" said Mason. We sit back down. "Nancy, this is my sons dad and boyfriend" I said. "Your dating my ex?" asked Nancy. "yeah" I said. "Seriously?" asked Nancy. "Yes, seriously" said Mason. "Bitch." said Nancy, walking away. I roll my eyes and Lily sighs. "She's a bitch" said Lily. 

4 months later I give birth to Matthew Ryan Mount. 

2 years later we get married.

We had twins, Mia Lu and Max Lee Mount.
